Pets Best is the Best
My dog had surgery to remove a mass on his rear leg. My claim was settled with the money in the bank before his stitches were even out! I love Pets Best!

First Time Claim
I had been considering pet insurance for our Pappilon for some time. After a couple of expensive vet visits I decided to seriously start looking at insurance. Pets Best was one of the companies recommended by our vet. After comparing several different companies I found Pets Best provided the best coverage at the best price.
Our Callie ended up in the emergency vet last month with over $1100 in charges. I made an online claim which was quick and easy and received reimbursement within about a month which was clearly explained. I would recommend Pets Best.

Love Me Some Pets Best
My senior retired greyhound is living her best life with weekly acupuncture and gym work. I can have the peace of mind knowing she is getting the care she needs to live a healthy and active life with PetsBest coverage. They offer a variety of coverage choices so I can pick which one is best for her and which is best for my younger grey."

14 years of excellent coverage and care
I've been using them for 14 years (started with PC Financial Pet Insurance) and have had my two pups fully insured (lost one 4 years ago). I can't say what things are like for new members regarding pricing, but I have been very happy with the customer service the very few times needed (maybe 3 times in 14 years?) and the fees. I've been tracking everything since August 2020 and for my one pup (senior years, my pup is now over 16 :) rounded down:
Amount paid in vet bills: ~$31000.00
Amount Eligible: ~$27000.00
Co-pay: ~$6000.00
Deductible: $2000.00
Amount refunded: ~$19000.00
Absolutely worth every penny. She is relatively healthy and happy, still has most of her teeth, can see and hear just fine, (too healthy) of an appetite - I fully believe it's because I've been able to give her all the healthcare she's needed because I've had thus insurance.
The only reason for 4/5 stars is there is no direct billing which would make things a lot easier to manage, but no regrets, and I recommend (ANY pet insurance at the least!) but this has been good to me.

Will never ever recommend NATIONWIDE PET INSURANCE
So my dog she is 12 years old now. It was originally VPI "veterinarians pet insurance" when we rescued her at 2 months old. They were great for the very small claims anything under two $300 they will cover me before 40% of it. However 2 years ago she had major surgery which cost $8,700 to remove bladder stones at the animal hospital so it was an emergency. Submit all the claims and all Nationwide covered was
$895. Of course I called them several times after that and submitted the paperwork several times however nothing else was done so I bit the bullet cuz I love my dog very much and I paid out of my pocket $7700. Okay so 2 years now she needs her gallbladder removed. And of course the surgery is $7,600 at the animal hospital and again contact Nationwide and $895 again. So even though I have the middle tier I asked them what if I had the best insurance through them which is the higher tier how much would you have covered? $1,900 was the response. I said to them what surgery do you see that cost $1,900. Listen I'll expect them to cover everything of course but even if they were covered half of this I would have found that acceptable. Now at this point I cannot afford this so eventually she is going to die. Of course getting her gallbladder removed we can of course hopefully pray that we get several more years out of her. Even the surgeon and everyone else says they should be covering at least 80%, however so this is why I want to write this review please stay away from Nationwide regardless of what it is pet insurance home insurance car insurance anything from them they are definitely not on your side. You have no idea how upset I am cuz now we're talking about a life over money. I'll leave it at that.

Happy Customer!
Our Gracie got mildly sick just before a weekend, and we thought she'd be at least ok to wait until Monday to call our vet. However at 4am Sunday morning she became much sicker so we headed to Urgent Vet. Her symptoms suggested she could have an obstruction but thankfully none was found and she was treated for gastroenteritis. The bill was high! I submitted it the next day, and within 2 days was emailed my explanation of benefits. Even after the deductible, we were reimbursed for a signifcant portion of the bill, and received a check in the mail a few days later. Thank you Pets Best

Difficult company to deal with
I have submitted claims for my cat's meds in the past and was reimbursed. Now they are saying it is predisposed and they will not pay me. Also they are becoming a lot more strict and time consuming on claims.

Excellent service
I just had to use our insurance for the first time. Simple claims process and the payment was made within a month. At this stage I can say I am happy I chose Pets Best for Rosie. I would recommend anyone looking for insurance for their pet to check out Pets Best . I really was skeptical about pet insurance but this really save us a lot of money. Our Pug suddenly came down with a stomach issue that required an overnight at the ER vet and the coverage really helped. My experience is only one incident with one dog and I never had insurance for a pet before to compare to but definitely satisified.
