My first experience with a claim. I didn't know what to expect. I phoned the claims dept. they walked me thru the filing process. They contacted our Vet. for records and within a few weeks I received a check. I'm happy with this!

Sadie had an ACL operation which was very expensive and embrace paid 80%. They have also paid for pain medicine after the operation.

This is a review for several recent claims. We have a $1,000 deductible / $15,000 annual coverage / 90% coverage after deductible policy for ourrescue dog. For anyone who wonders if they can afford pet insurance: two comments....with Embrace, when something happens to your beloved family member you will not be worrying about cost of care.....and, the higher deductible policy is VERY affordable on a monthly basis. Yes, you will have a deductible to meet, BUT if your pet needs surgery, cancer care, etc etc the cost will FAR exceed that. For us, Gabby, who has always been healthy, went in for a check of several "bumps" on her skin. We keep a close eye on these as they can be cancer or simply a cyst. Until the vet aspirates some cells and sends to lab, you do NOT know! One of Gabby's bumps came back mast cell tumor and she had surgery the next day. This is extensive removal of great amount of surrounding tissue! But, they got all of it (margins of removed skin came back "clean") and it was graded early stage 2 cancer which has good prognosis. The size of the area removed was large and it was necessary to build a skin flap from surrounding excess skin. With that came a risk of part of the flap losing its blood supply and dying which is what happened, so she had another surgery to cut out dead skin and, very fortunately, the surgeon was able to pull skin together without making another skin flap. SO.....we had claims for 2 surgeries, lab work, office visits and several medications. Total claims have been close to $3,000 to date. Embrace has processed everything within 7-10 days of receiving from vet (they are much faster to process than vet is to fax claim!) ALL claims have been completely "covered" with NO problems!!! The deductible was met and this week Embrace deposited into our checking account EVERYTHING (less our 10% responsibility) exceeding the deductible..... so far (over $1,900)! In fact, they sent e-mails in the morning to explain how things had been covered and the money was in our account the NEXT MORNING!!! This is an outstanding company. They are always super helpful and pleasant on the phone. They deliver exactly what the policy states. And, quickly. They let you know via e-mail where the process is every step of the way. (If you have not gotten an e-mail letting you know the claim has been received, then it's the vet who hasn't submitted it and you know to follow up with vet!) The underwriter on this claim closed the claim out without asking for an itemized bill so she could pay the correct amount. I contacted her because I knew it should be covered and she said she did not have an itemized bill so she closed the claim without ever co tacking mee. I asked to speak to a superviser and she said she gave my name to the superviser. I have never been contacted. I have a policy with five dogs. I would think someone would take care of this. I am looking for a new insurer.

First of all I had hoped never to use the Embrace policy we purchased to cover our dog. Chloe our Chihuahua-Italian Greyhound mix broke her front leg in August. The break required surgery with insertion of metal plate and screws.Very expensive procedure with many follow up visits over eight weeks. Embrace settled the claim promptly and without hassle. Chloe is back to her normal self . Thanks Embrace

Keeping my two cats happy and healthy means a lot to me. It's a relief knowing that the wellness plans help me be a responsible pet owner, or should I say "ownee"?

We have 4 dogs insured by Embrace. Simply put, the company is outstanding. Easy and very quick claims response, great communication (they email when claim received from vet and again to tell us claim is covered), claims are ok'ed per the policy....never any issues, the people who work there are very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable (they even followed up with vet to remind them to send additional info on this dog's history and then claim ok'ed for skin infection; we did no work! ....we have a high deductible and high annual coverage which makes it very affordable. We have $1,000 deductible but $15,000 policy for peace of mind for catastrophic events. Have not hit $1,000 deductible yet for any dog, but so far they have inspired confidence that we are well covered and claims will be paid when we do exceed deductible. Peace of mind is very affordable! Check it out!

My experience with Trupanion has been perfect . The Vet practice that did the emergency surgery billed them directly and were surprised at how quickly the claim processed . The post-op overnight care animal hospital charged me directly and I was reimbursed in just a few days . I can't say enough about how well the whole insurance process went . Thank you Christine

Came home from camp and needed to have the dog examined. Called the vet and they gave me an APPT. Took him up and sure enough he had hot spots on both sides of his neck. But as I was going to pay Amanda said to me "I know you have pet insurance so I can submit this bill for you and we will know in 10 min what your portion will be. I was so happy because I didn't know that you could do that right at the vets office and they pay the vets office directly leaving me to just pay the balance. I was thrilled.
