They been terrific for my baby for 14 years!
VPI/Nationwide have been terrific for my Pom for 14 years, and she’s had her share of troubles. There was a large jump in prices this year, way more than just due to an age increase, which almost priced me out. Also, make sure you insure from the time your dog is a puppy so you don’t have to deal with pre-existing condition exclusions.

Didn't process claim for 7 weeks until I called 5 times and threatened to terminate all 5 pet policies.
Placed a claim for 1 of my 5 covered dogs on 2/11/19. Received an email that vet records were needed. Called to let them know that VCA was an ER vet, and couldn't provide records. Weeks later, received a call that they still needed records, and the claim would be closed if the vet didn't provide them. Called again and told them that they would have to call my regular vet, not ER vet. After yet another week of silence, followed up again, and heard that they didn't have a chance to follow up. I called my vet and had them send the records myself. I didn't hear anything for 2 more weeks, and called again asking for the claim to be escalated and processed. Was told again that they were "behind". I asked for claim to be escalated immediately and processed, and was told I'd hear on the following Monday since the claim hadn't been processed, escalated, and no supervisor was available. On Tuesday I called demanding to speak to a supervisor, and threatened to cancel all 5 of my pet's policies. By this time, I have paid $500 deductibles on 3 of my 5 pets in addition to paying all of my premiums on time, but could NOT get them to process a claim. I finally received notice that my claim had been processed and my check should arrive in 5-7 days. Today is day 8, and no check. Since I've already met 3 of my dog's deductibles, and feel like it would be ridiculous to leave now, as I would have to meet the deductible at another company yet this year. Will cancel all policies at the end of the year and go to Trupanion, who I've heard great reviews about. (Oh-and I sure did get notice quickly on the other dog's claims when the deductible hadn't been met yet, so there would be no payment rendered!) SUPER QUICK TO SAY NO, BUT UNACCEPTABLY SLOW WHEN A REIMBURSEMENT IS DUE. Promise of payment in 5-7 days is a lie.

Pets Best helped save my dog's life
I can’t say enough positive things about Petsbest insurance. Buying their insurance was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My 10 year old golden became incredibly sick very suddenly a few weeks ago. We had to rush him to an emergency vet clinic where he was hospitalized with a grim prognosis. Because we had insurance, we were able to make all of our decisions regarding his care based on the doctor’s recommendations as opposed to cutting off his treatment prematurely due to cost concerns (we had purchased the most expensive policy with no maximum, since, in my experience, any maximum is quickly eclipsed by one serious health problem).
I truly credit the vets and Petsbest with saving his life. We were able to get him the absolute best care that exists. Our boy defied the odds and was able to come home from the hospital after four days and he was able to play in the snow, spend 24/7 being a pampered spoiled dog and torment his younger brother.
This was my first experience with pet insurance. When I went to submit the claims, I was a bit apprehensive. As any pet owner knows, the second you have to take a beloved pet to the hospital, huge bills pile up very quickly. I didn’t think there was any way we would be able to get our money quickly or without a hassle given how expensive these bills were (thousands of dollars). I guess I was used to dealing with human health insurance companies. Shame on me. I submitted the itemized invoices from the hospital stays as soon as I received them and within a week, Petsbest had approved the invoices and deposited the money in my account. They were so nice and hassle free and helped me save my dog. I will be using them for all of my current pets and all of my future pets. I also will be telling every pet owner I know to sign up. It’s 100% worth it and can truly save the life of your animal. That's priceless.

Extremely satisfied
I love that all I have to do is take a picture of my bill and turn it in. The underwriting team also distinguishes between what is covered and not, so I don't need two bills when I go to the vets office. This is our first experience having insurance on a pet and I'm extremely satisfied so far!

New customer and already a big fan!
I had never had insurance on any of my pets before but after seeing the experience of my friends who had insurance I knew I wanted coverage for my new pup. I opted for the wellness coverage as well which thankfully is all I’ve had to utilize so far but it’s bern very easy, painless and payment has been quick! Definitely makes me feel like I made the right choice.

I wish my health insurance could be as good as my pet insurance and their customer service!
I have two boys who have had knee surgeries (on both knees each!). I could not believe how wonderful ASPCA Pet Insurance has been with me and helping take care of the boys.
If I had not had the insurance we would have been out of pocket almost $30,000 for all the surgeries and we don't have it! They have been great and even now after all the surgeries, they still are just as great!
