Excellent service. Tried other insurances only to be disappointed.

Having 4 Maine Coons, we have had the opportunity to use other insurances. We have been disappointed every time. My work offered Nationwide Pet Insurance that could be taken directly from my pay check. We were impressed with the service and now that the process is all online and reimbursements sent directly to our checking account, the process is even better. We have also recommended Nationwide to our vet.

Quick reimbursements and good coverage

Our aging kitty Emma Peel has had a few health issues this year--dental work and hyperthyroidism. We decided to treat both within a month of each other and she had a radioactive iodine treatment last week. She did great and I was happy and relieved to get the reimbursement within a week of filing. I wish human insurance were this easy and responsive.

Very frustrating process for a new customer.

Lack of clarity upfront for a new customer on all that must be done to get a claim processed. Thus far, I am 2 months and still waiting for Embrace to process my claims.

Quick and easy claim process, with a fast payment!

I've had Nationwide insurance for my dogs for a while now and I've never had any issues when filing a claim. The claim process is easy to follow and file. I've received my payments quickly after sending in the claim, usually within the same week, if it was submitted on a Monday. I always receive an explanation of what was paid and what wasn't and the reasons why/why not.

Nationwide provides very quick claims processing; would ask to reconsider policy on over the counter covered items

Nationwide has been very quick to respond to claim submissions; reimbursements are usually deposited directly into the bank account within 48 hours, and there have been no denials with one exception - - over the counter flea and tick preventatives are covered under the plan, but can not be purchased for reimbursement at a retailer, because Nationwide indicates it can't validate that the medication is for the animal covered under the policy. They asked for an invoice from the vet with the pet's name on it. Strikes me as a little silly - - if you'd like to restrict this type of routine preventative medication, don't pay for it more than 2x/year (six month supplies). Buying at a retailer (especially online) is much more convenient than calling the vet, having a prescription filled, and stopping in to pick it up. Other than that, Nationwide has been very easy to work with and I still recommend.
