They’ll find every reason to deny claims. Have been a customer for 11 years. Customer service used to be good and claims process fairly easy, but has been declining during the last couple of years, Unfortunately, my dog is too old and have pre-existing conditions so switching to another insurance carrier may not make sense.

Trupanion has always been amazing for my pets. I love knowing that they are covered in any circumstance and the customer service is beyond amazing! I worked in the veterinary field for 7 years and always recommended trupanion to every new pet owner I met!

This was my first time submitting a claim with Trupanion. My senior dog was at the ER for pain, lethargy, and loss of appetite. After having lost two senior dogs to bloat and intestinal cancer, respectively, I was distraught and willing to pay anything to find out what happened with my dog. The bills knocked the wind out of me but I exchanged chats with a representative, who compassionately and thoroughly walked me through the claims process. I flubbed during my submission (failed to submit the invoice along with the claims form), but got through and received a response sooner than I expected. Trupanion cut my expenses down significantly, and I can breathe a little easier. To top it off, my dog is doing much better!

The flexible pricing, timely responses, and compassionate communications all exceeded my expectations.

I have owned several dogs previous to my being blessed with my Hava Apso, Lucy Lu. I have never had pet insurance with any of my dogs, until Lucy. Healthy Paws was recommended to me by a neighbor who subscribes. When she asked me if I have ever had pet insurance before and my answer was "no" she recommended Healthy Paws. One of the smartest most valuable moves I have ever made. Lucy had to have two surgeries to correct a bone problem in her leg. The costs were astronomical and thank heavens for Healthy Paws. They were fast, courteous and reimbursed me immediately, within days of my claim. Never had problems or additional worries with each claim submitted. They are absolutely wonderful and reliable. Claims turn-around time is pretty impressive. Even though you say to allow 72 hours for a response, my experience has been closer to 48 hours.
