Deny Claims Often

They denied multiple claims because they were not titled how ASPCA would have liked them. I paid 150 for a vet visit thinking most of it would be covered. The exam, heartworm, and vaccinations. After the claim came back, their titles were different than my vets titles for the exam, and my vet checked for heartworm, which the company read as giving heartworm mess. Overall terrible unless you have an animal that will never get injured or need to go to the vet

Pet Insurance that cares

Within the past year my Molly has had a severe ACL tear and just recently a twisted stomach, requiring emergency GVT w/ resection surgery. Within less than 3 hrs of submitting her bills for surgery and aftercare, I received a phone call from ASPCA. The customer service lady wanted to know how Molly was and is there anything they could do. What human insurance company would do that? Molly is almost back to normal. Thank you ASPCA, for caring. Embrace is a GREAT company!

We have had Embrace for our 4 dogs since 12/2014. I did a LOT of research before choosing them. If I could, I would rate them HIGHER than a 10! This is the best company I have ever done business with. In order to keep the monthly premium for 4 dogs at an affordable amount, we have a $1,000 deductible on each. We chose $15,000 of ANNUAL coverage for EACH dog (a serious injury or illness can run into the thousands) and have a 90% payout by Embrace after the deductible is reached. I would say to anyone thinking about getting insurance for their beloved dog or cat, don't think twice....get it and go with Embrace. We have exceeded the deductible for our oldest dog in both 2015 (cancer surgery) and in 2016 (UTI / bladder stones / thyroid). Embrace has been great....they pay out EXACTLY what they say they will. There has never once been any issues with haggling over whether something would be covered. Some companies will limit the amount of coverage for a certain service or procedure. Embrace covers exactly what the vet charges. And, they process claims incredibly quickly....they let you know via e-mail when they have received the claim and then let you know as soon as they have processed it. When they owe you money, it can be direct deposited and it is into your account within 2 days after they have finished processing the claim. If you need to call, someone actually answers the phone; their employees are always extremely helpful and pleasant. They clearly care about animals. We recommend them everywhere we go!! Couldn't be more pleased. Incredible peace of mind!!!

Peace of MInd for my dog's health

WHile I hope to never have to use my pet insurance, I am so glad a friend recommended Embrace to me when my dog was a puppy. At 3 1/2 he crashed into another dog and seriously strained his Iliopsoas muscle. Embrace covered everything - emergency vet, surgical doc, Physical Therapy, and Chiropractic. I just renewed - my dog is nearly 4 yrs old - and my premiums are still under $300/yr. Worth every penny to know I do not ever have to choose between my dog's health (or life) and my wallet. Also - whenever I have called, staff has been very helpful and responsive.

Waste of money

I was a former ASPCA Pet Health Insurance customer, but cancelled today because all three of my claims were denied. I had to draw the line when my dog's recent visit to the vet (including xrays and treatment) was denied on the basis of being a "pre-existing condition." He had eaten a plastic mouth-guard! How is that a "pre existing condition" and not an accident? When I called customer service to see why this wasn't covered, she said it was considered a preexisting gi problem and that the vet didn't find evidence of a foreign body. This is a lie - our vet has pieces of the mouth guard that Luke vomited up. The other claims that were denied were for an ear infection and conjunctivitis. I had the level 2 plan, which is supposed to cover accidents and illness. I think this whole pet insurance is a scam, and I will let everyone know about my experience.

Grateful

We have had wonderful experiences with Embrace! We have had a policy since our Papillon was 10 weeks old. Our Papillon, Gabriel, is now almost 7 years old. Just recently we had a huge scare with Gabriel vomiting, diarrhea, lethargic and not able to eat or drink without vomiting. With a visit to the Vet and some initial bloodwork it appeared that Gabriel may have contracted Leptospirosis and was in the early stages of liver and kidney failure! We were in disbelief and shock that we could lose our most beloved dog when symptoms just appeared so quickly and without warning. Because Leptospirosis is contagious to humans we were not allowed to hold him or touch him which was so difficult and painful, seeing the look in his eyes with the fear of sickness and not being able to touch him and just having to leave him behind. After a few days they allowed us to wear protective gear and sit on the floor with Gabriel and pat him, I swear the human touch is so important to healing. We were told he would have to remain in the hospital until he improved or even worse, til death. The Vet was very upfront and said "this will be costly" but we knew that with the assurance of our pet insurance policy with Embrace we had the comfort of knowing we could at least give him a chance at life and not have to worry about the high financial impact that hospitalization can add up too. And we had the reassurance to give our Gabriel a chance for recovery and not subjected to having to euthanize without a fighting chance. The good news is Gabriel did not have Leptospirosis and his body reacted quickly to the medical treatments and antibiotics and after six days we were able to bring him home and love him and hold him. The good news is he is healthy now, back to his "normal" self and we are so GRATEFUL to Embrace Pet Insurance to give us the ability to have our dog cared for without the fear of the financial burden. Gabriel needs a follow up in a month to make sure his liver and kidneys are stabilized but otherwise we are positive he has made a full recovery!! Thank you Embrace!

Speedy Review of Claims

I would take a Veterinary care on our pets over a physicians care on me. The same comfort goes to Pets Best Insurance. Knowing the deductions and copays each year helps in understanding the result in the claim. Best part is the speedy deposit to an account readily, so I can pay the credit card charge for the vet visit. That helps.

Highly Recommend

Healthy Paws insurance provides the ability for a pet owner to concentrate on their pet's medical situation without stress relating to the vet bills. We were able to review our insurance prior to a our pet's surgery with a Healthy Paws staff person....she was so knowledgeable, pleasant and an excellent representative. Claims are easy to submit, and quickly responded to by Healthy Paws. We would never go without Healthy Paws and always recommend to our friends.

Excellent Insurance!

I have used Embrace for the last 6 years and have nothing but great things to say about them. The claims process is very easy, the claims are paid promptly and they have a terrific option of depositing the payment directly into your checking account. In addition, they seem to genuinely care about the health of your pet. I wouldn't have a pet without one of their policies.
