My dog, Casper, broke his tooth and needed extraction. I took him to a low cost clinic, where unfortunately they do not itemize surgery costs. They have COHAT package for every oral surgery, which PetsBest doesn't reimburse stating it is a routine cleaning. IT WAS NOT in our case! If it was just COHAT, I would understand, but he had a trauma resulting in a broken tooth, and whether I liked it or not, the COHAT was a part of the surgery. I wanted to be nice and went to a much cheaper clinic. Next time I will have the surgery at my regular vet, where the price is at least twice as much, but they itemize every single thing.

I can't tell you how impressed I have been with all of my experiences with Healthy Paws. Our cat and dog have been insured by Healthy Paws for over 5 years. We recently experienced an emergency with our dog which required her to be admitted to the emergency vets for 3 days and 2 nights. The process of submitting a claim was seamless. It literally took only a few minutes to complete. Even more impressively, we received a reimbursement check within days of the submission. If that wasn't enough, Healthy Paws followed up to see how our dog was doing. This business gets high marks in every regard. Ease of use, consumer friendly, delivering exactly what is advertised and finally compassion during a stressful time. Thank you for being there when we most needed you. I rescued a Doberman 9 years ago and when I decided to get Health Insurance for him I signed him up for Pets Best. He had minimal health issues until 2020 when, out of the blue, he bloated. I was aware of the symptoms of the potential life-ending bloat condition and when he showed some symptoms late one night, I took him to the closest 24 hour Emergency Vet Clinic. When the Vet advised his stomach was twisted, he needed emergency Surgery and it was going to cost, I interrupted her and said "I don't care what it will cost, please just save his life". I had Health Insurance with Pets Best, the emergency Surgery saved his life and Pets Best paid for a large portion of the Bill. They have always been responsive and quick to pay for submitted Claims. As my Doberman has gotten older, the yearly Premiums have gone up which makes sense. Pets Best is always willing to talk with me at Premium Due time and discuss potential options to help lower the premium cost. I highly recommend Pets Best, they have helped me take care of my beloved Doberman ever since I signed up with them. I have recommended them to several friends who are also very happy with Pets Best.

have had healthy PAWS pet insurance for over 3 years I got it right before I purchased my goldendoodle puppy. Unfortunately he has a lot of health issues mainly skin itching, chronic ear infections, and digestive issues. Healthy paws has been fantastic with what they cover and how quickly they reimburse. They even now and then check in to see how your dog is feeling! Highly recommend Healthy Paws!

Lemonades reimbursement limits have steadily declined in the few years I have had them, while premiums have been raised astronomically. I will be investigating alternative coverages with the intent to leave - due to premiums + out of pockets - minimal reimbursement, the annual cost of care is nearly double the amount I would pay for no coverage.

This was my second claim with MetLife Pet and the experience was the same as the first - Excellent. After submitting copies of the invoice and SOAP from my vet, the claim was processed timely and paid as expected. I am very happy to have selected MetLife Pet for my puppy's pet insurance.

I recently had to take my dog to the Emergency ER after hours when he suddenly could not bear any weight on one leg. At the ER I was comfortable saying Yes to whatever diagnostic tests the vet deemed necessary, knowing that I had Lemonade in my corner! Once we were home with a diagnosis, meds and a plan for action, I started my first claim. My claims person was Alicia C. and she made it SO simple!! She even gave me options for how to send my invoice when I goofed up the first time. The whole process was wonderful; I couldn't be more pleased. And Alicia even ended our correspondence by sending Mr. Bingley a belly rub. Thank you, Alicia C. and Lemonade!!!

I have had 4 cats for the last 17 years. Sadly I have lost 3 (2 were bottle fed from the same litter) over the years and my last girl is 17 and going strong. Needless to say the medical bills have racked up over the years. Last year my job offered us discounted pet insurance through our benefits and it was the best choice I ever made. Issues have been resolved every time I have contacted them. They have covered every claim I have put in, including my boys final medical bills to my girls prescription food. Only complaints I have is that I wished this worked like human insurance because you don't always have it to lay out ahead of time. I wish you could pay your premium and pay co-pays. Only other complaint I have is that it has been taking over two weeks for the claims to be processed. Which I understand, especially now that they are adding companies in. Other then that I have had nothing but good experiences.

I waited a year before reviewing. We have made 3 claims on our2 yo female lab mix~all due to orthopedic injury and surgery. Process to submit claim was easy~we completed through the app. I am not techy, but found it simple enough to upload records for the claim. Our claims were all processed and paid w/i 2 weeks. I did have to call customer service on one claim to clarify if more documentation was needed to process. They were friendly and helpful.

Our little beagle got very sick very quickly while we were on vacation, and we ended up driving down Vancouver Island for help. After a very critical number of hours and tests, he was diagnosed with Addison's disease. It turns out that with Addison's if there is an acute episode, the animal may expire, so we are so grateful for the care and for the insurance providing support in such a terrible moment.
