I've had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for my dog since she was a pup--going on 5 years now. Customer service is very responsive and easy to work with. Claims are VERY easy to submit (you just take a picture of your vet bill and submit--that's it) and reimbursement has never been an issue. I've never had a claim denied, never had to argue with HP over anything, never had any issues. The only catch is that over the life of your pet and its policy, your premium will slowly increase. But even so, one covered emergency visit/overnight hospitalization will basically allow you to break even. If your pet is unfortunate enough to suffer multiple health complications, the policy will pay for itself and then some. Highly, highly recommend for any pet owner that doesn't want to have to weigh the cost of care versus the well-being of their pet.

Trupanion representatives are well knowledged and very courteous.

The agent Emily was really aggressive. She talked over me. I told her I was on a break from work and had limited time and she was not considerate of my time. She talked so long I had to hang up on her.

Because the Animal shelter recommended Trupanion.

Received very good customer service

My dog Bennie had broken two teeth shortly after I had signed up for the insurance. Working at an veterinary office I was skeptical about signing my own pet for insurance because I had seen what other companies did to clients for their claims process. Thankfully the claims process was simple and thankfully my pup was able to go to the dental specialist and have the teeth repair vs. having them extracted at the clinic I work at.

Claims are handled in a very timely manner. Explanation of benefits is also very clear.
