Great, fast service!

So far so good! all claims submitted have been paid in a timely manner. I will be interested to see how much my premium will go up in at renewal, for a two year old dog.

Insurance Review

I really like how fast and easy it is to file a claim and the reimbursement process. It is very convenient. I like having the Whole Wellness and that way I know that most things will be covered and I don't have to worry about my pet. The only downside is that the premium price really jumped from the first year to the 2nd year and my pet is still young and I wasn't really able to get much help from customer services on why that was. I am also worried about how much it will change next year when it is time to renew my policy.

Premium plan gave us confidence to diagnose and treat my dog.

Having the premium plan gave us ability to have dog treated thru recovery without stress about the cost. There is generally a very quick turn around time.

Great coverage and piece of mind!

I think my dog has better health insurance than me! He’s mostly a healthy dog, but I can rest easy knowing he’s covered in the case of an emergency.

Couldn't do it without them!

Very, very happy with our pet insurance (in fact, I just recommended them to my sister who signed up for a policy). I have an older Shih Tzu rescue and we couldn't do it without Nationwide/VPI. And lately, the review process for claims has been even faster! Love it!

Filing claims is as easy as they said it would be!

1st my dog Zeke fell then started limping. Then after taking medication which didn't help much, then a CT scan to determine what was going on, and then finally a shot in his elbow to fix the limp. After that he ended up with some type of infection. The bill was starting to run up a bit but it was no problem in filing a claim and then having it paid in a timely manner.

Everything we expected it should be.

Have had the coverage since we first got Titus at 8 weeks. We have had no negative issues in the 3 years we have had the coverage. It is a peace of mind we find well worth the expense.

Called eating cardboard a "pre-existing condition" and did not pay

My dog ate a frozen pizza cardboard, and it got lodged in her small intestine. Took her to ER and was charged a lot of money for all test run, and x-rays. Nationwide didn't pay a penny, said it was a preexisting condition. I called them, wrote them, and after six months of no news and "we'll let you know" and then receiving letters calling it not covered - I was stuck for the entire invoice myself. I was very upset and unhappy with their non-committal attitude, and my dog died a few months later. I know that she needed surgery, it was pay $6000 out of my own pocket or put her down. I can't help but feel Nationwide basically doomed her life. I wouldn't use them for a pet worm.
