Nationwide is an excellent pet insurance company. The coverage is excellent and the customer service reps are always very helpful. Claims are easy to file and processed in a timely manner. We love Nationwide Insurance. Our dog and cat give it 5 paws up!!

My Newfoundland puppy had to have Cherry eye surgery. I have a $700 deductible. I was approximately $3 from my deductible being met. My puppies repaired eye started weeping badly so i called the vet and they said to bring him in. I submitted this bill to Trupanion and they rejected $49 bill saying this was a preventitive ,wellness visit, pre existing,exam fees! I feel ive been screwed once again from an insurance company after paying premiums! Surly after having a serious eye surgery having the vet follow up due to a problem should be part of the treatment and healing process!

My cat Mittens got very sick late in the night. I took her to the emergency animal hospital. Pets Best paid the claim quickly. It turns out after x-rays and blood tests it was pneumonia. When I brought mittens home the 24hr vet chat from the app was amazing. I used the help line at 3am. It really helped a lot because my regular vet was definitely not open then.

Signed up my dog in July 2018. Did not have a claim until November, when my dog was limping after being at the dog park. She is 10 but still very limber and active. Took until January before hearing back from the CSR that they wanted more doctor's notes even tho I was way past their "waiting" period. Sent in a year's worth of doctor's notes of vaccines and one previous visit for an ear infection. SUDDENLY they "excluded" pretty much every.little.thing my dog MIGHT have -- she had a little tarter on her teeth (SHE'S 10 for god's sakes!) so they eliminated ANY mouth or tooth or tongue related problems as "pre-existing" -- she was seen once in 2017 for a checkup that noted a slight amount of arthritis in a DIFFERENT leg - which was later discounted by a different vet as NOT being arthritis but they still made EVERY possible limb and back injury or ailment as "pre-existing". THEN because she had been seen for an ear infection in 2017, ALL dermatological problems are now "pre-existing"!!!! Crap company that does everything to NOT pay a claim. I would NEVER recommend them.

Nationwide is amazingly responsive, better than former pet insurance provider and better than our human healthcare!

Uploaded my pets receipt, received a response on payment 3 days latter. Payment hit bank account 4 days latter (weekend). Whole process took a week from the time I submitted claim until payment received in bank.

It was easy to file a claim. I was reimbursed within 30 days

My dog has a heart condition and it was realized when he was 7 months old getting neutered. He has an irregular heartbeat and medication and vet checks were required to understand the issue. I purchased Pets Best right when I purchased my puppy at 12 weeks and I could not be more happy with the result. I never wanted to say no to a procedure or a health issue and I'm so glad that Pets Best has been able to help support the health and happiness of not only my dog, but my family.
