Pleased
I bought a policy in June 2014 and have only had to make claims for Wellness visits so far. My cat is 9 and incredibly healthy. I'm very pleased with the customer service and the easy to understand contract.
The first wellness claim that I had (flea medicine) was in September 2014 and it took a WHILE to get that pushed through. They were working on bettering their systems, they told me. Last week (March) I submitted a second Wellness claim (for routine blood work) and the reimbursement was in my bank account in literally 4 days. I was completely shocked (in a good way)!
I'm leaving a 10 star rating for now until I can give a more rounded review as things progress with the company. I'm very interested to see how much the annual premiums actually increase upon renewal and how easy it will be to submit and be reimbursed for accident or illness claims.
I do expect the premium to rise, of course, and if it is not a ridiculous amount then not only will I keep my policy but I'll add my other cat (4 year old) on there too.

yes im glad i have Vip insurance
My dog got so sick with pancretites and had to go to the hospital for 4 days, didn't even know if she would make it, the bill was over 4000. and VIP paid just about the whole bill. They have always paid good, I have had them for years, I recommend them. But if your dog has a pre existing condition, they will not pay for that!

They thought a poisonous plant would be yummy
We had just gotten Healthy Paws insurance on all three of our dogs 2 months ago because a friend of ours had suggested it to us because they had gotten it for theirs. Our 2 puppies decided to snack on a Cardboard Palm plant that was on our porch that apparently is in the Sago Palm family(hightly deadly) the vet quickly did everything in their power to save our babies and it worked, but if course cost us quite a bit we hadn't expected to have to shell out in one fell swoop. One puppy in emergency can cost quite a bit but two??! Needless to say we filed a claim immediate and within 6 days our reimbursement check!

Quick response time and payout.
My pug was 11-months-old and needed stenotic nares repaired, as well as, elongated palate repair during his neutering. Because the policy was in effect -before- any diagnosis of stenotic nares or elongated palate, Healthy Paws covered all of the surgery expenses and medication. Since they don't cover general vet fees or neutering, I only paid for that and my deductible. Huge financial burden lifted thanks to Healthy Paws Pet Insurance.

Total Satisfaction with Trupanion
Our mixed terrier, Herman, was diagnosed with a liver disorder during labs conducted the day before a scheduled neutering. Since that diagnosis and the treatments, including a liver biopsy that followed, we, including our lead veterinarian, have been absolutely amazed at not only the quick action by Trupanion representatives with regard to our claims, but with their genuine concern for Herman's well being and recovery. Both we, as Herman's "parents", and our veterinarians received almost immediate responses to our every question. Herman's doctors stated that they would recommend Trupanion to their clients. We certainly would not hesitate recommending Trupanion as the very best pet insurer around (in fact we already have done so on many occasions).

Wonderful!
I've had Embrace insurance for less than a year for my 2 kitties. I especially like the Wellness coverage since my furbabies get annual check-ups which have become costly since they include teeth cleaning. Each kitty had a check-up this year. Emails informed me my mailed claims had been received and when the payments were sent. Both times I received my payments within 7 days.
I could not be happier with Embrace. Preventive care should be covered just as it is (finally!) with humans.

Biggest mistake I made last year
I would give a zero if I could. They are complete liars, scam artists and will say anything for you to join, then not cover a thing. Please please I am begging you, do not get them. We had the second to top tier in coverage, and NOTHING has been covered. One example is the vet documented that he may have a long soft palate but were unsure and wanted to revisit if any problems occurred. Well, he did, and even though it was not discovered until nearly a year later ASPCA refused to cover the surgery because there was mention of a possible issue a year. What's worse is we even called to verify it would be covered 2 weeks before and were told it would!! Or how about when he had a flare-up within the first 30 days of getting insurance, it went away, but came back 56 days later. Again, denied because he suffered the same problem (even though it was resolved) during the waiting period. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!!! They got nearly $1,000 from us for a year of insurance and covered $0 out of $2100 claims submitted.
