We had just had our wellness visit for our 2 yo golden. Everything seemed perfect until we showed the vet what looked like a small pimple. He aspirated it and it was a mast cell tumor! She had surgery the next week. In two weeks both the wellness and surgical claim were paid by Embrace. We are so thankful our pet has insurance because you always need to expect the unexpected!

We have a 2 year old English Bulldog who has had a stint of issues. It is great to know we have Embrace in our corner, she is seen treated and we know it’s covered and we can not worry. The process has been simple and easy to submit claims and follow up if needed. Embrace was one of the best pet care items we purchased with our baby girl.

So far all of my experiences have been super easy!

I was well aware of pet insurance and before bringing our new goldendoodle puppy home I spent many hours researching the various providers. I had narrowed it down to two when I decided to go with Trupanion due to the direct pay that is available at some vets. I signed up for Trupanion less that day after bringing our puppy home with a certificate that was provided to us by our breeder. Flash forward a little more than a week and I am being sent away to Ireland on a work trip, leaving my puppy with family. They had a large lab that took to our puppy and they were fast friends. Unfortunately during one of their play sessions the lab came down on our puppy's leg fracturing his tibia. Our initial claims have already been processed and paid out with checks in the mail, all within a few days of submitting the paperwork. There was no questioning of the charges, and they were true to their word covering 90% of the expenses after our $250 deductible was met. Murphy will have a few more appointments before his leg is cleared and he can return to normal but the stress of these expenses is greatly reduced thanks to Trupanion. I would always read from people that are against pet insurance saying "just put the rate you would pay in the bank each month" well to them I just say you never know when an accident will come up and even paying our monthly rate for a year would not have covered the reimbursement we have already received. Have been very happy with Trupanion, the employees I have spoken with over the phone for the last seven years have always been highly professional as well as kind and compassionate. My dog passed away last night and Chantel was kind and sensitive on the phone. My claims experience has been good with my dog as well as a second dog and a cat. Claims are processed and paid fairly quickly, sometimes super fast...I have had some paid same day I submitted them. Even if your claim gets denied, there is an appeal process and your denial can be overturned if you have the documentation and get the correct info from your veterinarians to the underwriters. Some companies will go out of their way to deny claims and make you fight to use the coverage you paid for. Trupanion does not operate that way, they truly care about their policyholders and our pets. Of course it is a business, but I honestly do not think they are ever happy about denying coverage to anyone.
