Great investment! So glad I got Trupanion!
My dog has unfortunately had a lot of medical issues, and having the insurance has allowed me to get him all the help he needs. Dogs give you unconditional love and deserve to get the best care you can provide in return. Read the policy through carefully so you understand what is covered or not - they will stick to the policy.

Embrace is tops!
Sophie is a lovable little Shih Tzu. While traveling to Florida she had an accident while getting off the elevator at the Drury Inn in Paducah, Ky. We were going outside for her last "necessary" trip of the evening. It seems that the people waiting at the 1st floor level were in a rush to get on the elevator and not interested in us getting off. In the confusion Sophie apparently had her rear foot stepped on and she let out a "yelp" and apparently "torqued" her back. By 1 o'clock a.m. she was having difficulty walking and could not get comfortable. I called a vet in Paducah (never got an answer) and finally called the vet in Fort Myers and left a message. He called back the next morning before 7 a.m. and told me to get her to an emergency clinic when I got to Tallahassee, FL that evening.
Prior to noon I stopped at a rest stop and she could not move her rear legs. The next city was Birmingham Alabama and I decided to look for such a clinic there. It was a Sunday and I knew that the vet clinics would be closed, however I called one and the recorded message included an emergency clinic's phone
To make a long story short she had back surgery that day to remove a ruptured disc. The surgeon on call was James Milton, DVM, MS (retired professor emeritus AUCVM). What a lucky break that was!
We are heading back to Iowa by car, on April 2nd and plan to stop to see Dr. Milton on the morning of April 3rd (2 months to the day from surgery). We left the clinic about no

AWESOME
My cat, Grace , went in for her 6 month wellness exam and we found that she had a serious illness, Autoimmune Anemia.I was shocked!!!! She needed blood tests, an Ultra sound and medication, all of which could become expensive quickly. But cost wasn't a concern because I knew that Grace was covered by Embrace. Choosing Embrace for Grace was the best decision I ever made for my best friend, Grace.
Everyone who gets a kitten or puppy should insure their health with Embrace.

Best care....Iowa
I have 5 cats ranging in ages from 16 years old to 2 years old. Problems seem to occur after office hours and I end up at our university vet hospital. They are very good but it is very expensive. It is an easier choice knowing I will be reimbursed for much of his or her care fairly quickly after the event. I would not want to withhold care because of the cost. That would be a horrible decision. They are my family.

Wouldn't be without Healthy Paws!
Unfortunately, we've had to make a couple of expensive surgical claims on our pet. With Healthy Paws, unlike some other companies, there is no hassle, no second guessing, and no representative telling you that your vet charged too much and they will only pay what is "customary" for that procedure. We live in Iowa, for Pete's sake! Vet prices here are typically lower than in surrounding states. We actually had another company stop reimbursement in the middle of treatment on one of our other dogs because the policy renewal time came around, and the illness was then considered pre-existing for the new policy term. That's when we found Healthy Paws for our newest family member. Seriously, you won't find a company with better customer service, more caring representatives, and faster reimbursement. We hope to never have to use the insurance on our dogs; but we will never be without Healthy Paws, just in case.

The holidays were happier thanks to Trupanion!
When we told our vet what our Bernese Mountain Dog, Baylor, managed to eat in his first 6 months (rope, bathroom rug, etc), he recommended pet insurance. We were actually there that day because Baylor developed a post- op infection after being neutered. We chose Trupanion and have already gotten our money's worth. Most recently, Baylor ate part of a glass Christmas ornament. We were all scared to death that Baylor could lacerate a number of organs as the glass passed through his system. We didn't have to worry about the costs of treatment thanks to Trupanion! Baylor turned 1 on Christmas Eve. We have no doubt that our mischievous "puppy" will cash in on the insurance policy many more times!
