I think unexpected visits to the vet for emergency exams should be covered.
I think unexpected visits to the vet for emergency exams should be covered. I pay many times more to see the vet than for the medication, but I cannot get what Gus needs without paying to see the vet. If it’s an unexpected cost associated with ongoing medical issues that are not a regularly scheduled matinence visit, it seems like that should contribute to the deductible.

Disappointed with help Trupanion gives!
I’m always disappointed with how little help Trupanion gives when it is a valid claim !! Not paying for an exam when the dog is admitted to a critical care setting ?? That is ridiculous . I was very disappointed by the final amount Trupanion covered for Dusty .

If you adopt a dog, get insurance
I got insurance for my dog, Darwin, when he was 3 but didn’t think I’d need it for at least a few years. I am so glad I got the insurance when I did because, one day out of nowhere, he woke up paralyzed. APSCA covered exactly what they claimed to, and were extremely supportive throughout the whole process. I only gave them 9/10 because it did take several weeks to be reimbursed, but I think this is common across all pet insurance companies. I highly recommend getting ASPCA insurance for all dog owners - you never know when you’ll need it, but when you do, you’ll be glad your fur baby is covered.

Highly Recommend for customer service and concern
I have a 3 y/o German Shepherd who's had two major illnesses in the last year; one caused by a tick bite and one likely caused by an ingested sock! Both times Healthy Paws quickly processed the claims with no hassle and followed up afterwards to see how my dog was doing! I had another pet insurance and they took twice as long to process claims and there were always questioning our vet. Glad with our new addition to the family --we chose Healthy Paws.

Less stress when you have a sick child
Both of our furry children became ill at the same time. Thanks to Embrace they were able to get treatment without any further worries.

Without Trupanion I would have had to sell my truck.
Without Trupanion, I would most likely have had to sell my truck to pay my vet bills. I signed up both of my dogs when they were puppies, and I've always received excellent care.
