I Love these guys.... They have been there with us through two emergency surgeries that saved my boys life and through the long process of figuring out his allergies. Dinky, our Alaskan Klee Kai, developed a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) and needed a few unexpected trips to the vet. When Dinky adversely reacted to a prescription medication, we did a trip to the emergency vet (of course, on a Sunday). We were at the vet's office from 3:50 pm to 1:20 am. Dinky was vomiting at least hourly, loose bowels, and becoming emaciated. The vets did a wonderful job on Dinky who made a full recovery. While most vet bills are not exciting, after-hours, Sunday vet bills are REALLY not exciting. Nationwide Pet Insurance came thru for us like a champ. Thank you, Nationwide Pet Insurance.

I was advised to carry pet insurance when I got my puppy as the breed often has issues. So far we have only filed using the wellness rider for routine puppy shots, and Nationwide has covered almost all the costs. It remains to be seen if we will ever incur higher claims and how they will be covered, but I am hopeful the company would continue their positive responses.
