Phenomenal staff and easy submission process
All individuals I have worked with were great. They were professional, knowledgeable and empathetic to my situation. I have the app and it is super easy to upload receipts and understand how the process works. Quick payments to me or my vet even though my vet did not have a system set up for automatic payment they promptly sent a check and reimbursed the vet so I did not have to pay it out of pocket and wait on reimbursement. Great company and team! I would definitely recommend them to use. I have 3 dogs and all are insured with Trupanion.

This has been a months-long process determining the cause of my dog's lameness.
This has been a months-long process determining the cause of my dog's lameness. When I first reached out to a Trupanion rep, she told me to submit my existing invoices even though a definitive diagnosis was not in hand. That was the incorrect answer. My claim was denied based on the existing incomplete information and I had to work with my vet to submit an appeal to overturn that denial even after a subsequent diagnosis by a specialist determined that she had a covered condition (CCL rupture). That incorrect guidance by the Trupanion rep caused extra work for me and my vet and caused an already stressful situation to be much more difficult. To your credit, all invoices submitted since my appeal was successful have been processed promptly, but first impressions matter and my first impression is distrust of Trupanion reps and the process they support.
