I really like my Pet w/Wellness insurance with Nationwide, I had another plan before with one of your competitors and couldn't wait to change, after the loss of one our girls who had a pre-existing condition so we were stuck with them. Despite the ever-increasing rates (large increases), my girl's "final expenses", emergency services & cremation were not covered and it was just so callous and awful. Our new puppy is now well covered and all of her vaccinations, prescription food, flea & tick med, heartworm med are all now covered - next up getting her spayed and microchipped - both covered by this new policy. Can't say enough good about this company. For only a few dollars more per month I'm getting WAY better coverage for our "old" girl who I switched from the other company and for our "baby" who has been on Nationwide since we got her at 9 weeks old - she's now 7 months old and all of the new puppy vet stuff has been fully covered after paying the $250 deductible ONCE, not at each claim.

Claim process easy. Service prompt and efficient

This past claim went very smoothly. It was a stressful time and I appreciated not having to worry about costs while making sure Piper was taken care of. The caps to diagnosis and procedures is frustrating. And not covering congenital as other insurances will. That could be a deciding factor and would have been if If thought of it. Nonetheless this claim paid fast and was easy to deal with. The prior claims were fristrating as they took a great deal of time and required all of her records. When this was the first claim beyond my deductible I found that irritating.

Excellent insurance

Marta, in July was thought to have a heart tumor, a sarcoma and there was nothing we could do to treat her. She had ascites and a pericardial effusion which they drained the fluid surrounding her heart. She was in right sided heart failure. 7 weeks went by and she was still with us. Another cardiac ultrasound was done and she was in the 5% that was idiopathic. She did not have a heart tumor after all. The cost to diagnose was very expensive and I thank the insurance for covering most /all the cost. The cost of the yearly premium was so worth it. You never know what unexpected events your pet will have to go through. For us, the outcome was nothing short of a miracle. We will never have a pet that doesn't have insurance.

Claims are processed quickly and thoroughly, and explained in detail. Questions have always been addressed in a very timely manner, and resolved quickly. I recommend Pets Best to anyone I know interested in pet insurance. Prices are very competitive, with great coverage and multiple options to choose from.

Filing is easy, updates on the process are prompt and explanation of final determinations are equally prompt. I only wish that my personal health insurance company was as prompt, conscientious and clear in their determinations as Pets Best!
