I would never go without insurance on my dogs. Nationwide is a lot better if you take out insurance before your pets have any problems or accidents. There also are breed specific things that they don’t cover but would be great someday if they could help if your willing to spend the money to fix your pet.

Great!
We have had a great experience so far. Our dog doesn't require much but this helps defray the costs of normal visits. We have had such an easy time submitting claims by email and always get great service. The benefits are in an easy to understand format so I know exactly what is and isn't covered.

YOU ARE GREAT!
I appreciate getting reimbursed for Pickett's health visits. We had 2 dogs prior to him that had some extensive vet bills and no insurance. He will be going to Portsmouth Referral Hospital Wed. 11th for a 2nd opinion for his neck. Its the same thing as in 2015 when he had to have the salivary gland removed which was not too pleasant.

Unclear when asking for records
Being my first claim it made it seem like Trupanion was obtaining records from the dogs first vet' so it was unclear when asking for records that I needed to send I felt

Happily surprised with speedy resolution!
Recently had my second claim for my cat & was so excited with the quick payment! I have heard horror stories about pet Indy, but have been very happy with Nationwide. Also love the checking in on my kitty, feels like the same personal service from our other favorite pet company, Chewy
