I have been a Healthy Paws Customer for over 5 years. I insure 3 pets; 2 dogs and one cat. I have had to file 3 claims for one of my dogs which would have totaled over $12,000 out of pocket. Healthy Paws paid everything, reimbursed me in less than 2 weeks and followed up with emails checking in on my baby girl. I have recommended them to everyone who asks and even a few who dont! I recently adopted a nine year old Maltese rescue. Even though Rosie was healthy, I thought it was important to insure her as soon as possible. I chose Healthy Paws for a variety of reasons and am really glad that I did. My first interaction with the staff at Healthy Paws was positive and I was pleased with my choice of insurers. Very unexpectedly, Rosie became quite ill and after hospitalization and an endoscopic biopsy was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease. She has responded well to treatment but the whole incident has been very, very expensive. Being new to Healthy Paws, I didn't know what to expect when I submitted her claims. To my surprise, the transactions were effortless and my claims were handled very quickly. Rosie had a huge vet bill and getting her insurance payment so promptly really helped. I would recommend this company -- especially since they will insure older dogs.
