Submitting the claims is very easy. I received checks quickly from Nationwide, and for a large portion of the expenses I incurred for dealing with my cat's ongoing medical problem.

Nationwide continues to not disappoint. it's such a relief to have them as a resource when my cat is sick. This is the first year my cat has had any medical issues outside of wellness checks and vaccines and nationwide has processed all my claims quickly and efficiently. Each claim takes about 10 days to 2 weeks from start to finish and has been a completely hassle free experience. Dental procedures are extremely expensive and it was a life saver to have this coverage to help with the cost.

Great company! They make the claim process a breeze and really give you the impression they care for the wellbeing of your pet. This was my second major claim in 3 years, and both times they made the process worry free. Anyone looking to get pet insurance, look no further!

I purchased pet insurance for my puppy expecting to not need it till his late stage of life. He came down with a serious illness when he was only 2 & was then diagnosed with a brain tumor at 4 yrs. Healthy Paws surpassed my wildest expectation of an Insurance company-from ease of filling, speed of processing claims & most importantly, sincere concern for my dog through personalized communication. Having insurance took away the financial burden of already difficult decisions, & Healthy Paws was THE BEST! My dog is doing GREAT, & choosing Healthy Paws was the best decision!!!

Our 3 year old bulldog went in for surgery to open up his airways to help him breathe more freely, but complications from the surgery resulted in him not being able to breathe at all. A planned overnight visit turned into six. Twice during the week the vet called me to caution they were concerned he would die soon. For all the pain it put him through, it was an emotional nightmare for us. In the end, he was transferred to another hospital where a second procedure cleared his airway and saved his life. The vet bill accumulated to $11,000, which we had to draw down our savings, borrow money from family, and open a new credit card to cover. Honestly, we didn’t have the financial ability to handle that expense, and the only reason we did was because of our confidence in our policy with Healthy Paws. And sure enough, less than a week after filing a claim it was approved, and our policy reibursed nearly 90% of the bill. What they cover and what they don’t is very clear from the start, and customer service is incredible. Representatives seemed genuinely concerned for the wellbeing of our dog in follow up calls and email. Our policy with Healthy Paws saved our dog’s life- we never could have considered the life saving procedure s that were necessary without it.

I am so glad to have invested in pet insurance. I wasn’t sure if it’s worth it or if they would actually pay for things. I recently had allergy testing done on my boxer who is 1 1/2. It was a really expensive procedure. I was afraid the insurance somehow would get out of paying for it. He had never had it done before and was never diagnosed with allergies but you just never know. I was happy to see they covered it! I only had to pay $300 of a $2400 bill. If you questioning whether to get insurance or not...GET IT!! It’s so important to get it when they’re a puppy because you never know what can happen and pre-existing conditions won’t be covered. I’m so glad I got it and very happy with Pets Best. This is only our first year so we’ll see what year 2 will be like. So happy with this insurance!
