Bad- pre-existing conditions for every claim.

My dog had diarrhea when she was a 3 month old puppy, was put on meds and recovered. I decided to get the AKC pet insurance later on when she was 7months old. When she was 11 months old she tore up her plastic crate and ate some of it. I took her in because I was concerned about her and she started to not eat her food as well as she did in the past. I had multiple tests run to make sure none of the plastic peices were stuck in her digestive system. It ended up just being upset tummy due to the plastic and she recovered with just being on some Pepcid. When I submitted my claim, I received an EOB saying it was a pre-existing condition. I called to figure out what they were talking about because it was certainly not pre-existing, it was an acute occurrence- she ate her crate which gave her gastritis!!! The representative told me that because she had been seen for gastric problems in the past, that it was a pre-existing condition. Basically any problem that your dog has ever been seen for in the past (before getting the coverage) will not be covered in the future even if it is totally unrelated in the cause. She said I could go back to the vet and fill out forms to re-evaluate, but I just decided to cancel the coverage. I could tell by the way things were headed that everything would be pre-existing if they had EVER been seen for any past problem, even if it had been 6+ months since the dog had been to the vet, had fully recovered, and the new incident was totally unrelated. I would not recommend this insurance. Get a savings account and put money in it each month- you'll be FAR BETTER OFF. People don't have time to argue and fill out more forms and re-submit. It also took about a month for them to process the claim I submitted. It isn't worth the hassle!

YOU HAVE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!

My older dog is on her second knee surgery in 5 months. :O( Tough break for her, it just sucks and breaks my heart. But Embrace has been FREAKING AMAZING through all of this!!! She had her first surgery weeks after passing her Ortho Exam. Embrace didn't try to get out of paying for the claim, even though it was so close to the ortho waiver being done. What I got from Embrace was....COMPASSION! Wouldn't it be nice if our HUMAN insurance was this good???!!! And now we are on our second knee surgery this year. BOTH times I have been reimbursed before her follow up doctor visit. WHAT INSURANCE COMPANY DOES THAT IN THIS DAY AND AGE??? EMBRACE...that's who! I started with Embrace cause I have USAA insurance...this was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my two Drahthaar's!! THANK YOU EMBRACE...YOU HAVE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!!! My old girl is now retired from hunting. So, I'll be adding a third member to our dog pack/hunting family next year...you're getting that business to! YOU GUYS ROCK!! Thank you for making this process easier than you had to! I tell EVERY person I know about Embrace, every chance I get!!!

Super attentive and helpful

Aspca pretty health insurance with wellness has totally made it easy to keep up with Jax's vet bills. I've probably only paid $150 total since I got Jax at 8 weeks old (he's 5 months now) and he's got all of his medications, vaccinations, and has been neutered. They also have such an easy claim process that almost does it for you if you have no idea what is going on. Thanks for great service!

Denial of claims on Rusty's ear allergy.

Rusty has an ear allergy. He has reached the limit on ear surgery.Dr. Moss thought that that the insurance would pay for the costly pills($200 for 100 pills. He has received 400 pills so far at a total cost of $400 plus exams.)I can't afford the cost of another surgery. Can you reconsider the claim?Or is there an upgrade in insurance that would help? Grateful for Pets Best!

After not having insurance for my last 2 dogs (and just now paying off $10,000 in bills from their last few months, 2 years ago), I decided to get insurance for my new pups. Unfortunately, 1 week before I was going to sign up, one pup broke her elbow to the tune of $3k. That was it (the last straw), we signed up for insurance (thinking that now we had insurance, we would not need it :)). I had to make a claim last week. The claim was paid in less than 1 week and it was so simple to submit the claim. Thank you for your help Pets Best!

Worst experience ever.

Was recommend to use this insurance and was planning on purchasing full pet insurance for both my dogs. Thankfully I tried the "trial" insurance first. I signed up for it and a couple days later my dog had a hurt leg I took her in for X-rays (that should be covered with the accident pet trial insurance). Spent over $300 at the vet and then sent in my claim.... Weeks later I recieved an email saying they would not cover any of the cost. Confused I called and spoke with the rudest agent. She told me I was only covered for accident insurance at the time my dog was hurt??? Confused I said "I'm sorry what exactly do you consider an accident? She has a hurt leg??" She then told me she would speak with her manager and have him call be in 3 days... 7 days go by with no word so I call back and speak with another person who says the same thing sorry it says here you were only covered by accidental at that time. Again I reponded with the same answer? Does my dog have to be run over with a car to be considered accidental? She said she would speak with her manager and have him call me.... Still have yet to hear from anyone. Would NOT recommend this insurance to anyone. Ever.

Thank You

After having a dog that had cancer and racked up $1,000's in medical bills only to loose the battle in a few short months, I decided to get pet insurance for the puppy. Embrace has been a life saver to me. This summer he got foxtails in his ears and before it was over I was so glad to have the insurance. They paid rather quickly and they were so helpful on the phone.
