I carry an accident policy only, and I submitted my first claim and felt like it was very easy to do. I heard back within an week and felt that was very reasonable.

I signed up for HealthyPaws pet insurance a couple of years ago on the recommendation of a friend. I didn't expect to need it, but since my friend's dog suddenly required tens of thousands of dollars of vet care it seemed like a wise thing to do. Three years later, my dog was diagnosed with thyroid cancer requiring specialty vet services including major surgery. HealthyPaws has been amazing throughout this. I have 80% coverage and filing a claim online was very easy and working with their representatives to get the proper documentation from my vet was simple and reassuring. They even offered to call my vet directly and help identify the specific records they needed submitted. My claims were processed quickly and all communication with HealthyPaws has been friendly and compassionate. This experience has made the stress of Franklin's cancer much less, because I know I can afford the treatment he needs and there hasn't been any red tape in filing the paperwork. He is now post surgery, and the surgeon believes they removed all the cancer at an early stage due to early detection and treatment. I would highly recommend HealthyPaws to any pet parent.

Trupanion is great. They let you know exactly what you will be paying and the coverage is so helpful. They saved me a lot of money with my dogs knee surgery.

This is so easy. It’s like a payment plan for wellness as well as accidental coverage. Coming up with $600 for vaccinations and neutering hurts all at once. Makes things a lot easier. 😊. Paid quickly!

The deductible is so high and they do not cover much; always referring to the 'fine print' in the contract- read your contract carefully BEFORE you sign and then you'll probably move on.

I never thought I would ever need pet insurance . I have a extremely active healthy outdoors dog. One day he became incredibly sick so I rushed him to the vets. He needed emergency surgery since he had swallowed something. Was quoted 4,000 - 6,000 for the surgery which I did not have. I paid with a credit card hoping I could get a claim through quickly. Trupanion paid the claim within about a week. Walking away with my dog healthy and happy for only a couple hundred bucks thanks to trupanion made the ordeal bearable.
