Not worth it to, take too long to process the claim
My experience with MetLife Pet Insurance has been nothing short of frustrating. First, their chat support is practically non-existent. It's rarely accessible and seems to be there more for show than actual assistance. The claim process could be faster, taking up to 21 days from the date of submission. During this time, the app needs updates on whether the claim is approved or not, leaving you in the dark. I often need to call in and check the status of updates. Some Representatives are helpful; some want to get off the call. Instead of efficient online communication, they insist on sending you an Explanation of Benefits(EOB) through the mail, which is a waste of paper and completely unnecessary. This information should be readily available on their website for easy reviews. Speaking of the website, it's far from user-friendly. Navigating through it to find essential information takes time and effort. Overall, MetLife Pet Insurance needs significant improvements in customer service, claim process efficiency, and digital communication. I would not recommend it based on my experience.

Excellent coverage and customer service
I am so happy that I decided to purchase pet insurance for my two dogs. While, we always hope to keep our dogs healthy with regular check-ups sometimes accidents happen. Such a thing happened with my 3-year old cocker spaniel. She and my other dog got into a bottle of Advil. The cocker ate some and was very sick. I had to rush her to emergency vet and the two night three day stay was quite expensive. Met Life paid my claim within two weeks and reimbursed most of the claim (less deductible). I'm grateful that I have Met Life Ins or I may have had to make the decision to put my dog down over an accident. I am now a loyal customer for life!

Honestly pet insurance is a scam
They make it as difficult as possible to get reimbursed. They have ridiculous and unreasonable qualifications for what paperwork is acceptable and what’s not, even if it details everything necessary for them to be able to process the claim, i.e. invoice, pricing and soap notes. Customer service was unhelpful as well and didn’t provide any solutions as to why my paperwork was denied. Eff you MetLife.

Fast and Easy !
My poor kitty had vomiting and dehydrated and was seen in the emergency room. My claim was quickly and easily filed and reimbursed. I almost didn't believe how easy it was! No catch or small print to get out of paying the claim. I even signed up my second cat for a policy too because it was so easy and reasonable. Thank you!

It is essential to have A good Pet Insurance like this!
Quick and Easy processing of claims- No Hustle!
My only remark is that it is sometimes hard to fill up the specific 'Condition' that
your Dog was treated for- since it is almost all in Professional Vet's names/codes.

Denied, stall, more information, need more records, need vet verification, didn't get the email, didn't hear back from the vet, ect, ect
All they do is burn you down until you give up trying to get reimbursed for your claim and vet bills. I could have saved the $28,000+ paid into my Fetch plan and used it for the $10,000 in bills I paid out of pocket for worthless insurance. I think I've only got $364 reimbursed so far. Our Dog developed a immune deficiency disorder that has been paid for out-of-pocket over the last several years. We have also kept up on all her wellness visits, shots, and accidents she has gotten into over the years,

Efficient and helpful!
Lemonade has made claims for my Lexi simple and easy. I had my funds in less than 48 hours with no hassle. Easy to upload and someone there on the chat if need assistance. This is one of the best things I’ve done as a pet owner, to get Lexi and my bank account the coverage they need!

Review of Spot Pet Insurance
In your review of Spot Pet Insurance, you mention pre-existing conditions. We have had two claims disallowed due to definitions by Spot which have no clinical basis.
The first occurred following dental procedures on our Sheltie. Her mouth is too small for all teeth and some were extracted. Spot disallowed the claim because, during a previous exam the vet noted in the medical record that the dog had a grade one dental condition - meaning there was tartar on the teeth. Spot said grade 1 indicated "severe dental disease" and disallowed the claim. Grade one is on a scale of 1-4. Spot has failed to provide their scoring algorithms.
The second denial was again based on Spot's definition of a pre-existing condition. Thirty months ago, our Sheltie had an adverse reaction of the skin to a conditioner used following shampoo during grooming. Subsequently, we have instructed groomers not to use any conditioning products and there have been no issues. Earlier this month the same dog was treated for an ear infection. Spot disallowed the claim due to pre-existing conditions. Despite no entry in the medical record to support their decision, Spot determined that the ear infection was caused by the same "allergies" that caused the skin reaction thirty months ago. I believe this is a fraudulent way to avoid paying claims.
Please add this practice to the "Cons" of Spot Pet Insurance.
