We received our Alaskan malamute puppy, River, on 09/29/12. We fell in love with him immediately and considered him part of the family from day one. We were a bit skeptical about signing him up for pet health insurance; however, we started to look into it and decided to enroll him in Healthy Paws. Several months after he was enrolled, River ended up getting sick. He was lethargic and wasn’t able to keep his food down, so we took him to the vet. We had to schedule two separate visits, which included exams, x-rays, an action plan, and monitoring his progress. We followed the direction of the vet and River made a full recovery. I worked with the vet’s office to process our claim with Healthy Paws Ins. and was so pleased with how fast it was processed. Healthy Paws definitely exceeded my expectations. I have already referred Healthy Paws Pet Ins. to two separate friends (both who have added new puppies into their family). I will continue to pass on my positive experience with Healthy Paws and recommend them to other proud pet owners as a reliable pet insurance company.

Words can't describe how helpful and sympathetic the folks at Trupanion were when our 6 month old Klee Kai had a horrible accident. Friends were pet sitting her while my husband and I travelled abroad. While being with them, she was on a walk and got loose from her collar - long story short, she fell/jumped into a basement parking lot ramp and fractured her 7th vertebrae. Initial emergency care specialists thought she could have neurological damage, later she was taken to a specialist clinic where she had an MRI and subsequently massive surgery to reconstruct her fracture vertebrae and fix it in place with cement, steel plate and screws. In total, the bills came close to $11,000. When I called Trupanion from abroad and explained the situation, not only were they immensely helpful and sympathetic, but they calmly reassured me that they were there to help and they would do anything they could to help us save our puppy - they didn't disappoint. Their claim approval process was lightning fast - we wanted to make sure the claim would go through before committing to spend $11k, so they went out of their way to make the pre-approval happen in a matter of hours. After the operation (which went extremely well), Trupanion stayed in touch with us to make sure our dog was OK and to see if they could help with anything else. I have had both my dogs insurance with Healthy Paws since they were puppies (about 2 years now). I've submitted claims for medications, allergy testing and small cost items - all claims were always processed fast and they always cover what they say they will. Just the other day, my little mini-golden doodle had been scratching his face a lot, I knew it was probably seasonal allergies. I took him to a dog dermatologist where they performed a skin allergy test, gave him a steroid shot to calm the itching and all this other stuff, including daily allergy shots medication. The bill shockingly came out to $1050 - holy crap, I was not expecting that. The Healthy Paws claim form was sent in that same evening to reimbursement. This was a Tuesday, by Thursday the same week I had over a $800 check sitting in my mailbox. Healthy Paws is quick, efficient and honest. I did my due diligence when shopping for pet insurance companies and I found out a lot of dirty stuff on other companies. Healthy Paws has only raised my rate about $5 or so dollars since the beginning - that is completely fine with me. Healthy Paws is the best decision I have made for my pups.

My Boston Terrier puppy has had his share of health issues -- and I am so glad that I have Healthy Paws pet insurance for him. Their service is amazing. Without fail, I've received a check in the mail within 3 days of our vet visit. If only people health insurance were half as efficient and timely.

My English Bulldog puppy recently swallowed a superball which required surgery to remove. Naturally we were pacnicked about both her health and the cost of surgery at such a young age. The Trupanion people were super helpful and my policy covered 90% of the cost. I am really grateful and Trupanion's service was excellent!

My lab-x tore his ACL this past summer and had TPLO surgery. After surgery, he had some complications that sent us back to the vet several times and to the ER once. All claims were paid quickly and exactly as stated in the policy. Embrace reps are helpful and quick to answer any questions I have. I recommend Embrace to all of my friends with pets.

I am beyond astonished with the level of service Healthy Paws provides. Not only do they offer amazing coverage for your pets, their customer service, simple process of submitting claims, turn around time on claims processing and reimbursement and follow up will far beyond exceed your expectations. It is already stressful enough dealing with a sick pet and they do nothing but help alleviate any additional stress with claims, etc...
