Our 10 year old Great Dane Pharoah taken into the vet with an obstruction we thought and unfortunately found out that his intestine had twisted - because of the concern we were referred to the emergency clinic here in Spokane where he was euthanized after being on the operating table to remove the obstruction and the vet made the discovery and stated there was no recovery for his condition - I called and spoke to Jayne about our claims since their were several facilities used and how they would be handled. She was very informative and concerned and empathetic - Thank you so much! Also the claims were processed in an incredibly quick pace! I could not be happier since the cost of this right after the Christmas holiday was unexpected.

Having Trupanion insurance for my current dog has been a God-send. My previous golden retriever died of hemangiosarcoma. Expenses for her treatments and hospital stays were almost $10,000, and I did not have pet insurance for her. It was heart-breaking to lose her almost 2 months after her diagnosis. Healthypaws is great. We left the claim form with the vet, they faxed it in and we had our check in less than week. No hassle at all.

I was amazed at how easy and streamlined the claim process was. Healthy Paws processed my claim in less than a week and mailed me my check right away. They covered everything including blood tests, radiographs, hospitalization, and medication. The only thing they didn't cover was the medial exam (which was a small chunk of change compared to the other costs).I honestly was considering canceling the insurance a week before my dog's hidden autoimmune disorder surfaced. It had nothing to do with the insurance company. I felt like I didn't need the insurance since my dog seemed so healthy. But you don't really realize how important insurance is until you use it and I'm so glad I stayed with Healthy Paws.
