Dexter has an ongoing medical issue. The covered claims are handled promptly and the refund check is either deposited to my checking account or sent to the vet directly. We are fortunate that our vet participates in the Trupanion program and sends the invoices directly to them. It makes life a lot easier as we deal with this medical issue.

Took a long time, but overall good
Overall, I am happy with this plan. There is a learning curve with submitting claims as I didn’t do it correctly at first. It did take 4-5 months for reimbursement, but that is because nationwide contacted my vet themselves after wanting more information than I was able to provide, so I’m sure that slowed the process.

Awesome Customer Service
The customer service rep that assisted me with my multiple policies was incredible. She was very helpful, replied to my questions quickly and even touched bases with me as a follow up.

It's great for surgical procedures.
It's great for surgical procedures. For the same illness it doesn't t include the medication which is expensive. I recommend it for all dogs. No one knows when you purchase a dog how ill the dog really is.
