I added my dog Bailey to insurance at the mature age of 11yrs old even though he was healthy I just started thinking he was getting older and may have problems. I wish I had done it sooner in his life but, better late than never. Within 6 mths of getting the insurance I took Bailey in for a symptom. We were sent to a specialist and told we needed several ewxpensive sonograms and blood tests. It was a hige relief to know I had this insurance to help. We spent over $1600 and were pleased with the amount of money we received back into our checking account from Trupanion as their part of our coverage. They even helped with the medicine. Very glad I made this decision.

My baby Lucy became very ill and started having seizures one after the other, we had several vet visits and they had to send us to a Neurological Specialist. We did finally find out what she had, after a MRI and spinal tap,which was an auto-immune disease, it is Granulomatous Meningoencephalitis, it was a very expensive trip, but I am happy to say Lucy has been seizure free for a month now!! Trupanion Pet Insurance is the best, they have paid all of our claims without any hesitation!! I have put my other two dogs on the same insurance now as a result of their great care! I purchased insurance through Healthy Paws for my 12 week old Biewer Terrier after spending over $5000 in pet/vet/hospital bills within 8 months for 2 of my other dogs who unfortunately are not longer with me. I AM SO HAPPY I DID! My baby is now 2 years old and I have had to use Healthy Paws insurance 4 times! My most recent (and expensive) claim is when my Biewer came down with HGE and had to be hospitalized for 24 hours for aggressive IV treatment. The bill was over $1000! I submitted my claim online the day she was released and had a check for 90% reimbursement within a week! Plus, an email checking on how she was doing! So worth the $33/month I pay! So for anyone looking for good insurance for their pet(s), I HIGHLY recommend Healthy Paws! Excellent customer service!

I've been with Healthy Paws for about 2 years now. In that time my dachshund has required two major spinal surgeries than ran me into the thousands each time. Healthy Paws has always been fast to cut me refunds quickly and with no hassle. They won't cover pre-existing conditions, but I researched other pet insurance policies and none of them do. At first you must have your vet submit all of your pets medical records, but after that filing a claim is a piece of cake, it can all be done online, which makes is easier and faster.

Our 3 year old Husky, Nikkita, just had TPLO surgery on her knee. It was so sad to see her limping and we felt it was necessary to see a specialist immediately. The specialist determined that she needed surgery and we had it done the following Monday. I sent in the invoice to Healthy Paws on Tuesday and it was accepted and the reimbursement was sent within a couple days, with a bill of over $3000. We even received an email from Healthy Paws checking up on little Nikki's progress. Thoughout the entire process, in addition to countless other vet visits, Healthy Paws has always been there for us.
