It does not get any better
I love and appreciate Healthy Paws. I have two small dogs that have had several vet visits since they were covered. Healthy Paws offers a great insurance product and reviews and pays claims extremely promptly. They follow up to make sure that your pet's health issue is improving. Last year when they felt a claim was for a pre existing condition, a kind and knowledgeable veterinarian from their staff called to tell me and explain to me their decision in a courteous and compassionate manner. When I appealed the decision with more information from my veterinarian, they promptly reversed their decision and paid the claim. I wish I had signed up years ago. This is better than human health insurance. It just could not be any better. I give it my highest recommendation.

Healthy Paws is absolutely terrific!
In June of 2011, we adopted our 1-year-old Rottweiler/Chow mix from an animal shelter and decided to purchase pet insurance. Thank goodness we went with Healthy Paws! From day one, Sammi had "issues," which included everything from slicing her paw open on glass, puffing up from an allergic reaction, spraining her knee while running in soft sand, and chronic lameness. This December, she ruptured her ACL, and she had the TPLO surgery one week ago. With the x-rays, this injury alone has cost close to $5,000. Within days of the surgery, we received a check from Healthy Paws, which covered 90% of the cost (which is the plan we chose). We couldn't be happier with Healthy Paws. They have always been exceedingly prompt in their reviews and reimbursements. They are easy to contact with questions and have competent representatives who actually care about their "clients." We highly recommend Healthy Paws!

Peace of Mind
I have never had pet insurance before, but I am so glad that I have it for Fiddle. Fiddle has turned out to be a very high maintenance. At about a year old she started having seizures. At 16 months we found out she had ectopic cilia. Both of these conditions have been expensive. Each and every claim that I have filed with Embrace (and there have been many)have been handled in a quick and efficient manner. Every claim has been paid exactly as the policy described without any quibbling. I have never had a claim challenged or questioned. I truly have peace of mind thanks to Embrace.

Wonderful so far!
I had VPI with my previous Bernese Mtn Dog. I was okay with it. Didn't think they paid quite enough on the first cancer surgery but was sure nice to have some of it back. I didn't really know another one so would have put my new berner puppy on it too but stopped to read all the fine print in the back and they had added an exclusion for Histio cancer which is a biggie in berners. That was out so I asked around the club and several ladies had Embrace, had some major events and were very happy. I researched it and felt that it covered the most and was impressed to see the level of the coverage on each event until the yearly max was reached. I added wellness coverage as it gives you $25.00 over the rate you pay so felt it was a good deal.So far have just made the wellness claims and they respond immediately that it is received and let you know the amount that is on the way to you very quickly.

One bad Knee all better
My two + year old Newfee Required Surgery after she blew her knee. And the day after the procedure I filed my first Claim including Claims for all the pre op x-rays and vet visits. I didn't know what to expect... I thought there might be a number of excuses or reasons certain things wouldn't be covered. I couldn't be more wrong. Everything was paid according to my policy with no hassle. I was reimbursed within 10 days. I hope my dog doesn't need more surgeries, but I no longer stress about it. Thanks Healthy Paws

Quick Claims, Good Customer Service
We submitted our claims from the last 6 months over the past few weeks and received checks promptly. Anytime I have a question I get an answer right away via email, very impressed with their customer service. We have had our puppy for half a year and our insurance has benefited with wellness exams/vaccines.

Quick turn around, covered what they promised.
We adopted our dog Tucker four years ago and last April after a minor health scare (allergic reaction) we decided to take the plunge and purchase insurance for him and our other dog. Over the Christmas holidays Tucker started getting sick (vomiting) and after several panicked trips to the emergency vet an ultrasound reveled a foreign body that needed to be removed surgically.
Healthy Paws covered exactly what the policy said they'd cover which was 90% of everything less the exam fees. It took under the ten business days they promised to get the check out once we'd submitted our claim, really appreciated that. Each time we called with questions they answered them succinctly and clearly and went the extra mile to help us track down Tucker's previous medical history (we'd adopted him while serving in the military and his records were spread over several states).
A tip to other pet owners: when you contact your veterinarian's office for records ensure they end you the narrative treatment history not just the invoices, the treatment history is necessary for reimbursement.
Healthy Pets followed up with us inquiring about Tucker's health which I thought was nice.
Bottom line: they covered exactly what the policy claimed to cover and got us our reimbursement in less time then they promised so we'd definitely recommend them to other pet owners.
