I got on with Trupanion 3 months before my dog became chronically ill. He passed 3 months after that, but initially we had no idea how long he would be with us. I am so glad that this sad valley could be a little less deep. Trupanion pet insurance was a large hand of help. Instead of worrying about how I would pay for everything and letting it eat away at what little time I had left with my beloved pet, I could just simply spend uncomplicated time with my precious sweet baby, Cloud. The only blip was early on, it took a little while to get "medical records" accepted before the first reimbursement came through:almost two weeks. But ever since, no issues. I've been getting a 7-9 day turn around on reimbursement from submission of the claim to the check in my hand, which is perfectly easy to float on a credit card with no interest charges. I've never had any other pet insurance, but I'm very please with them and will remain with them for my remaining dog. And any future pets I may have.

My dog started having pain in her stomach and issues urinating. After 2 trips to the emergency vet and various tests, we were able to successfully diagnose the issue and treat it with medication. I submitted my claim to VPI and they reimbursed me in a few weeks. Very happy with the service I've received. Great company!

VPI has truly saved us! We have an english bulldog and VPI has proved invaluable to us. I have recommended to anyone I know getting a puppy. Customer Service is great and respond quickly.

Glad we got this insurance for our dog. We upgraded the policy we got but we have gotten our money worth do far. We got a puppy when we purchased the insurance and our puppy has had numerous visits to the vet for spaying, shots, Urinary tract infections, skin infections and the insurance has paid for a lot of our pups care which has been close to $2000.00 in the last 11 months. The insurance has been well worth the investment for us.

I have a Great Dane, who tore his acl. This is a very expensive surgery. Luckily I had pet insurance with Embrace. But this was my first time making a claim and I had my doubts about getting my money. And at first there was a little confusion in regards to my dogs medical records (they want to see everything in his file including shot records, I orginally just sent stuff pertaining to the injury). But after I got everything sent, I received a check very quickly. I do want to add that I did call a few times to see what the hold up was, and the people I talked with were extremely nice. So the question is am I satisfied? Nice people and I got my money, so yes I am!!!!

Healthy Paws is a great choice for anyone that needs health insurance for their pet. My dog Whitman suffers from an unhealthy stomach and has seen his veterinarian many times. He is now on a hypoallergenic diet and is doing much better. With each visit to the vet I submit a claim with Healthy Paws, and they always attend to my claims promptly, usually within just a couple of days. They even send me a personalized email to check up on Whitman. Additionally, when I have needed to make a phone call Healthy Paws always answers and responds to my questions immediately. My dog is 7.5 years old. I got level-4 ASPCA coverage when he was young, and I'm very glad that I did. My dog has had a few health issues, including a respiratory infection and an eye infection. The claims were settled quickly and to my satisfaction. My vet charges more than the usual and customary fees allowed by ASPCA insurance. On average, I am getting back 50 - 60% on all claims, which is pretty good. The cost of the insurance is reasonable, and gives me peace of mind.

When we first brought home our little Shih Tzu puppy I though it would be a good idea to get some pet insurance. A few years back, I lost one of my kitties to kidney disease. It made me realize how much good veterinary care is out there today, but also how expensive it can be. I know that I could never make a treatment decision based on cost, so I decided to look for a plan that would cover the big stuff. My cats now have a high deductible plan that covers up to $10,000 in treatment. Because they have $1000 deductible, the premium is quite reasonable. I cover the routine stuff out of pocket, but have protection in case something serious happens. This year, my 12 y/0 kitty was losing weight. In order to determine what was wrong, he needed some rather expensive testing (ultrasounds, etc). I was able to turn in his bills in excees of $1000 and was promptly reimbursed 80%. The claims rep kept me updated on the status of each bill until it was paid.
