Smartest thing I did
I bought pet insurance when my Boxer was 8 weeks old. Smartest thing I ever did and I tell everyone. A lot of people will say "well I'll just save for vet bills". ONE incident can cost thousands of dollars. Just make sure you understand your coverage. I chose Nationwide on my vet's recommendation. The yearly deductible is only $99 and after that I get reimbursed 90% of the claim. It's deposited right into my checking account. Her wellness visits are covered 100%. I wouldn't be without.

Satisfied with MetLife Pet Insurance
I have had MetLife for a few years now and it is easy to submit claims, I have always received answers in a timely manner and have never argued with any of their decisions, everything has been approved except for one small item and I understood that. MetLife has been a good company for my pets.

BEWARE of MetLife renewal and raising cost 40% !
-------After having policy with MetLife for several years and now second dog - we never had a complaint EXCEPT now ! At our renewal they raised the pricing 40% -- no formal letter although they state it was sent in an email 60 days ago ?? regardless how outrageous ! we only used a small portion of our benefit ! I will be shopping around tomorrow. -

Reimbursement from pet insurance
Sent the claim in and heard back a few days later that it was accepted. Payment was on the way a couple days later. Not too difficult to do. Thank you!

So Worth It!
Ive never used pet insurance before so I had to do a lot of research to figure out which one I wanted to use. I settled on PetsBest with high hopes for my fur babies being taken care of. I bought them a few months worth of their flea, tick and heartworm prevention but couldn't figure out how to submit a claim for an online medication order. I contacted PetsBest using their online chat system, and they were beyond friendly and helpful. I had so many questions about the process but they helped me through everything and I made my claim successfully. Received the payment within the promised time frame, too! They're already very stellar and I am excited they will be taking care of us and our babies! Thank you, Pets Best!

180 from the previous insurer
Having 3 dogs is already expensive, and finding affordable coverage was mind-numbing. We had another company for a few years but could only afford accident/routine care. Even then, they found a reason to deny or lowball almost every claim. Since switching to Met Life we've had one dog hospitalized and another begin treatment for lymphoma. Met Life has reimbursed exactly what we expected without nickel-and-diming us.
The claim submission is easy, the communication is prompt and we don't have to fear spending 20-25 thousand out-of-pocket as we did in prior years.

Easy process
Our previous insurer consistently found reasons to limit or deny reimbursements. Even if the vet requested a test or procedure, that company denied coverage. We could only afford accident/preventive care so out-of-pocket expenses were astronomic.
Met Life seemed more expensive but has proven to pay for itself. One of our 3 dogs developed aspiration pneumonia and required 3 1/2 days of ICU care; within 3 weeks we'd received 80% reimbursementon a bill of over $5,500.

Wonderful pet insurance
I have had a few pet insurance companies previously. MetLife is by far the best! Easy to submit claims. Never a hassle processing claims. Claims are quickly processed and there are multiple choices for reimbursement! Great experience overall! I have been using them for the last 9 months and I am very pleased!
