Comprehensive coverage with easy claim process.
Recently had to make a trip to the vet for a n injury, a vaccination and refill on 2 preventative medications. Filing the claim was simple and quick. Our plan is great and the reimbursement was confirmed and check sent out quickly. Very happy with the service of Nationwide Pet Insurance.

We have not had to use Cooper's insurance yet so I can't speak to how good it is or if there may be loopholes in the wording.

Every representative with whom I spoke was wonderful, & claim quickly processed. My only reason for not giving you a 'œ10' is because of your policy of not covering the office visit, just the meds.

Super Convenient & Fast!

Verbal quote and assurances about coverage were not true; very costly bit of misinformation
For several years, I had Nationwide (started under its former name, VPI) for another dog prior to Rusty and then a premium plan for Rusty which I believe cost $60/mo during last year's policy period.
When it came time to renew for this policy period we are currently in---AND ADD A (NEW TO ME) SECOND DOG)--It appeared his same coverage was going up to over $90/month.
In lengthy research at renewal time and then in a lengthy phone call with a man at your company (his name is in my records from last year), I was told significant factors, mostly cost, predicated the huge increase.
I explained to the man that Rusty had to go to vet every three weeks for an anal expression and I wanted to be sure he would still be covered when I went down to the medium premium. He said, "All existing conditions will be honored." When I asked him precisely about coverage for that process, he told me it was covered and I would see full details in the documents that would arrive by mail after I renewed. I COULD NOT ACCESS THEM ONLINE AT THAT TIME HE SAID.
Now I add Star's policy and everyone at my vet's office was horrified as I was told by your company that the heartwrenching diagnosis of heartworm we incurred this year WAS NOT COVERED. The office cited three insurance companies that do cover it.
These policies I currently have do not even coverage basic prevention practices, among them vaccines and monthly prevention dosages for heartworm---WHICH I AGAIN WAS TOLD THEY WOULD----
It is for these reasons and for the very very very disappointing misinformation ( a kind word is being used here as is the intent of the whole tone of this letter--but make no mistake--I am disappointed, angry about the costs I paid for insurance that was fairly useless when I was told otherwise) your company provided to me, a fairly longtime customer, I am resuming research for companies that will provide me adequate coverage and actually advise me correctly before I purchase it.

Very happy to have made the decision to purchase pet insurance; and Healthy Paws proved to be the right choice for us.
After purchasing two Lab puppies I was considering buying pet insurance. Then a friend told me he had just spent $10,000 in emergency vet bills for his dog. That cinched it for me. I immediately researched available pet insurance and selected Health Paws primarily because they do not have an upside limit on claims. They pay their share of what the claim totals. In addition, their rates were very reasonable and competitive. Although I would have preferred to never make a claim, the situation arose where we were looking at substantial emergency veterinary hospital bills. It was so helpful to know we could allow the doctors to use any measures necessary to save our dogs' life and that costs would be primarily covered by the insurance. Healthy Paws really came through for us, and our dog is doing great.
