I have been with Trupanion for many years. Overall my experience has been very positive and I have no complaints. Vet costs can mount very quickly in the event of a major illness and pet insurance can help provide care that might not otherwise be possible.

Info was readily available and easy to understand. The section on what is mot covered was very helpful.

I've never had a bad phone call with Trupanion! While I feel the service is fairly expensive, and I've received some pushback from billing about various claims, I have confidence overall in our service.

It's what you should and can expect from a GOOD Insurance company. I called the insurance company regarding my pet ER service and got an explanation of what my options were. Proceeded with my pet ER service, submitted the billed afterwards and got reimbursed for the portion that they are responsible for with explanations. Exactly what I wanted from an insurance company.

The process was very easy. My customer service agent explained everything to my satisfaction and was very knowledgeable.

On your website you say “We promise to never increase your payments due to your pet aging or just because your pet has been unlucky and has faced some medical issues. That’s our promise - simple and fair.” THAT is very misleading, and I believe it is meant to lead people to believe their rates will never increase (unless they change their deductible). I do not like nor respect a play on words. I believe you should disclose that rates may (will) change, but not because of age or being unlucky. I almost decided to go with another company just for the simple fact of the deceptive play on words. I truly feel there is a better more honest way of advertising this without being so deceiving.
