"All insurance policies are needlessly too complex to fully understand, and too much is left to the subjective opinion of the insurer, rather than the considered opinion of the doctor. That said, I pay a small gortune to get the highest coverage gor my two dogs, and Pets Best has proven to be as responsive and, fair as any other pet insurance I have tried over many years. So, I can recommend them : )

Lightning fast processing/payout
I submitted a claim at 3am after getting home from a very stressful emergency visit with my pup for sudden seizures. Took me about 3 minutes to submit my claim via the app, including uploading a screenshot of my paid, itemized bill. Visit was 1/27, claim submitted 3am 1/28, claim paid out 1/29. Funds took about a week to hit my bank account, but that’s not a PB issue. I’ve had monthlong waits in the past, so this was an extremely welcome surprise during a brutal time for our family. Great company. I’ve recommended them to everyone who will listen! I’ll never again be faced with choosing between getting the care my pets need or passing because I can’t afford it. There’s so much peace knowing that.

Healthy Paws Went Extra Mile
I had a very positive experience with Healthy Paws. My dog was recently diagnosed with an inoperable tumor and the only treatment was very costly radiation therapy. Healthy Paws covered the bulk of this expensive treatment, plus the also very costly diagnostic tests that preceded it. Moreover, they handled things promptly and professionally so I was able to concentrate on getting my dog the care she needed instead of getting bogged down with all kinds of additional obstacles. This whole process involved numerous (often daily) visits to the vet and Healthy Paws often reimbursed invoices within a day or two of submission (even over the Christmas and New Year’s holiday). I am very grateful for the efficiency and sensitivity in the way they handled things and it made an incredibly stressful ordeal infinitely more manageable.

PetsPlusUs is the best.
My dog is 10. So many issues over the years. This year our issues included gastritis. Lymphoma and now herniated disc. No surprises, no questions, no hassles. Just excellent customer service and quick payment.

"I absolutely love Pets Best! Customer service is always helpful and kind and well informed. My dog (Benny) tore both ACLs in less than a year and both were paid for with no problems. Just recently, Benny wouldn't eat and something was clearly wrong. I rushed him to the vet and how I was going to pay for his treatment wasn't something I had to worry about and that meant everything to me. It turns out he most likely had giardia, and he's now fine, but it could have been much worse and I know Pets Best would have been there for me. I know I can provide Benny with the best care possible. Thank you for that peace of mind!"

I cannot express how incredibly grateful my family is to Healthy Paws. Our beloved dog needed multiple surgeries, and each time our insurance claims were quickly processed without question. The app makes it so easy to file claims and the turn around time to receive reimbursement was always within two weeks! Amazing! Having a loved pet needing medical care is very stressful, and we are appreciative of the fact that Healthy Paws made the financial stress basically nonexistent! Thank you, Healthy Paws!

Claim process easier than expected
This was the first time we submitted any claims for our dog and I was nervous about how much work it would require, how fast it would be reviewed, how much back and forth would occur and timeliness of payment. The portal made it really easy, I just scanned all documents, uploaded and within days had a response about what was included and what wasn't. There were no surprises, and the payment was issued.

A huge scam and get ready for games
The amount of claims they pay adds up to less than 10% of the premium you pay each year. So why would anyone pay them all this money to still cover 90% of their own expenses and what have $600+ a year burning a hole in their pocket?

Foxy is fine!!
My only complaint about my vet is that I was first in line at 9a.m. on the day of surgery. I traveled 50 miles to the clinic, as they only do that in Pensacola. I was advised that I would receive a call when Foxy goes into surgery. No time line was offered -- she went into surgery after 6pm!!! This is highly unacceptable, but Dr. Story is the 'only game in town ' as an opthomology vet.
