I was hesitant about pet insurance but was proven
We had just purchased a miniature dachshund puppy, Hans. He was only with us a couple of months before developing stomach problems. Based on the vomiting and x-rays, it appeared he had eaten something. He had to have exploratory surgery which didn't solve the problem. He's been on numerous meds and special foods. ASPCA didn't hesitate covering any of his illness' treatments. They were quick with processing and a refund, called to confirm the claim was completed, and have called numerous times to check on him. The plan has already paid for itself as far as we are concerned. I've been recommending it to everyone!!!!

I had not realized that the exam that was done immediately before the surgery would not be covered.
I had not realized that the exam that was done immediately before the surgery would not be covered. That was a $90 cost and we left her with the surgeon. I might consider another company for another dog since the deductible is repeated for each new diag

Healthy Paws is the best!
Healthy Paws has come through for me multiple times and proven to be well worth the monthly premium. If you are the type of pet parent that will spend whatever it takes, there is no reason not to have pet insurance. The reimbursements have always come super quickly and the app allows you to file the claim right after leaving the vet's office.

They saved my cat1
After having a new born and getting laid off, money was very tight. But the safety net that is Health Paws caught it. Our 3 year old cat got suddenly ill and the treatment was expensive. Without Health Paws my wife and daughter would have lost their best fur-friend. The app is super intuitive and easy to use. Just snap a picture or two of the bill and upload in the app. That's it, the two weeks later our reimbursement check arrived. Everything is very clear and it is easy to figure out what you will have to pay and what they cover.
I will always keep health paws on any pets we'll have.

NOT HAPPY Warning for those insuring multiple pets
I have several dogs insured with Embrace. The most recent dog's coverage started in March, but my renewal date (determined by the date of the first dog covered) is in mid-November.Any dog added to the policy, regardless of the date coverage starts, has the policy renewed in mid-Nov. THIS PRACTICE RESULTS IN MY LOSING 4 MONTHS OF COVERAGE!!! I have had to meet my $200 deductible AGAIN! I voiced my complaint with one of the founders of the company and was basically told 'that's the way it is' This is the second time this has happened to me...Overall, I'm happy with Embrace, but being charged a double deductible within in year is just not fair. Embrace, you are better than that.
