It is very easy to scan and then attach paid bills from my computer when submitting claims. There are not too many buttons to push. The calendar is very helpful. It is a very quick and painless process.

I switched from Banfield to Nationwide last April 2017 because I moved out of area and there were no Pet Smarts. I was extremely disappointing when her yearly dental was not covered in 2017 after I had researched and contacted Nationwide prior to purchasing. They assured me that if it was a yearly preventative service (which it was as Banfield records indicated) it would be covered. It was not. This year it was covered and so far my claims, they are processed quickly, easy to upload or fax claims, and track online. The dental cleaning is the only large veterinarian bill I have as I try to care for my pet responsibly and at 9 years old she has very few issues. It was a hardship to double my monthly pet insurance and also pay for dental cleaning as if I had no coverage. I understand that Nationwide is not the same type of coverage as Banfield but for the cost expected that they at minimum cover the same basic expenses.

I am writing this review as a devoted pet parent. My dog recently had major surgery. If not for this insurance from Healthy Paws I would have been struggling with paying the bill. I just want to let everyone know how much I believe in pet insurance. Healthy Paws has been with us every step of the process, for this claim they are a very dedicated company. They are so dedicated to their clients that they sent me an email inquiring about how my dog’s recovery was going. Every time I had the pleasure of talking to someone, they were very helpful and very caring. A near death experience over Christmas left me with nothing nice to say about Nationwide’s coverage for Bella. Surgery costing over $7000.00 in which only $1700.00 was covered left me astounded. And my surprise that this last vet bill of three hundred, for a rash, was paid in full.

My fur baby was taken ill. Had an MRi (lesions found on brain) ultrasound (obstruction in intestines) had operation to remove obstruction and had food port temporarily put in place. She has made a remarkable recovery after two days in ICU and 5 days in the University of Penn Veterinarian Hospital. Total bill was $10,000 with Healthy Paws covering $7,050. Reimbursement was made 10 days after filing claim and I had only had the policy for 5 months. I highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance in the event of such an incident.
