I am so pleased I purchased pet insurance on my Sassy. The visits to the Vet have been costly and having insurance that helps is a great reassurance. I would highly recommend every pet owner to get pet insurance but not just any pet insurance, Nationwide Pet Insurance. I have ease of mind that my Sassy is covered for any illness, injury or wellness.

Khaleesi had an emergency vet visit Sunday...she was in pain and it was a horrible 5 hours for all of us. I submitted my claim by fax Monday morning and a check was deposited in my account by Tuesday!!! Really!! I tell everyone about Pets's Best..it's one of the best decisions I have every made with our baby girl.

I used another Insurance company before Pets Best and they were terrible. Pets Best processes claims quickly and pays super fast. A++ service!

Our dog - mini dachshund Kate would have not been around if it had not been for Healthy Paws. She has autoimmune disease and has been in the hospital multiple times. Good to have insurance for major medical, regular visits not necessary to have because they don't cover much. Benefits are hard to understand and very confusing, but they cover most things once you have reached your deductible, which is normal with any insurance.

I ultimately got reimbursed the 90% I was due however I waited 5 months! First you asked for detailed notes from the vet which I had them fax you directly. I heard nothing for a month. When I called back - the rep said you never received the notes - so I had the vet send them again. I called back and you confirmed receipt. Then received a letter saying you needed another 30 days to review. Then I called after 30’days to inquire what happened and the rep said you needed another 30 days and when i said that was ridiculous and it had already been months she was actually rude and basically said sorry but that’s the way it is. I really didn’t appreciate the way this was handled at all. Like I said - I’m the end I was reimbursed so that’s the good part but I should have to go through all of that and the enormous delays.

I love Nationwide pet insurance and it’s great how easy the claim forms are easy to complete. The only problem is I wish they covered more for certain ACL repair surgery and I don’t like how you have to wait a while if your dog already had ACL repair surgery. My dog tore her ACL and that same insurance period the other leg went. Overall Nationwide is great and I would highly recommend.
