Although the monthly premium is expensive, Trupanion steps up to the when the emergency care is required for your pet. Trupanion hit a homerun for my pet over the 10 years of his short life.

Avoid Trupanion like the plague
We've had Trupanion coverage for more than a decade for two small rescue dogs. In the beginning, our experiences with Trupanion were good, but as the dogs have gotten older, and their needs more extensive, we've had nothing but problems in getting them to cover claims.
I get that insurance companies don't make money when they help you, but we're experiencing things like having medications they've taken for years suddenly being denied for coverage. Don't get me started on the hoops they make you jump through to appeal. Or their unwillingness to listen to the vet's appeals on your behalf. The fact that our premiums have increased more than four-fold over the years is bad enough, but lately they have started putting so many barriers in the claims process that it's just easier to give up. Our vet is frustrated at the time he has to spend navigating their convoluted claims process and if I had to choose between my vet and Trupanion, there's no contest.
Paying $370 per month to insure two small dogs only to fight over every penny claimed is a harsh lesson. I'd recommend staying away from Trupanion. Read the recent reviews -- they tell the story of a company with serious issues. I regret my decision to purchase insurance with Trupanion and hope to help others avoid the horrible experiences we have had with them.

So Happy with this business
I previously had another insurance that was a complete disaster. I've had this one for a couple of months and just submitted my first claim. It was so easy and simple. Whenever I have any type of questions I can call and they are ready to help out, there customer service is amazing. I'm so happy with this pet insurance!

Slow to pay out claim
I’ve been with Pets Plus Us since getting my
Puppy. I have made very few claims in the past 12 years.They’re slow to reimburse. My vet
doesn’t have their claim forms, hence I have to
take the form home & apply for my reimbursement. They are always asking for more details from the vet, which is a delay tactic. Holding my payment longer than necessary.
I would not recommend this Company.
