Trupanion is the best decision you can make for your pet. If they need anything nonroutine, which tends to happen with all pets, their coverage is simple and easy to understand. They don't cover exam fees, but after you deductible, they cover 90% of an illness or injury related cost for the life of the pet. We have never had an issue with a claim being questioned it denied in the over 5 years we have had this coverage for our pets. And when you can, the customer service is great. They are definitely empathize with you and your pet. I wish they could ensure me too! I'd love to have an experience like this with my own healthcare.

We got our beloved Golden when he was 11 months old and we wanted to make sure he was always taken care of. So we got the insurance and we are sure glad we did. He had to have surgery last Feb when he tore is CCL and that alone was worth the premium we had been paying up to that point. You never know when an accident or illness will happen and knowing that your pet is covered makes it so much easier to go see the Vet and not worry about not being able to afford the outcome. And if its a simple ear infection, well that's great too. Getting reimbursed for office visits and take home meds is great !! We highly recommend this policy, there are several different levels to choose from and they are very fast in responding to filed claims and even just questions. We became Nationwide clients about a year ago, through the benefits group of my employer. Because our pets are different ages and species, we ended up with four policies (five later) at three different rates and with different coverages. ALL claims have been handled promptly, with a clear explanation of what was and was not paid. Great company with great coverage; great service; fair rates.
