I had a claim for an ACL repair on my young lab male. I ran into an issue with the Claims reviewer wanting "hand written" notes from my vet. My vet sent the file notes 4x and finally I took the printouts of exam notes from my vet's electronic recordkeeping system, circled the exam dates and notes, and resent them. Embrace finally processed my claim. My March claim was paid in May.

Our bully got pneumonia and was very sick and could not breath. We took her to an emergency pet hospital where she had to stay overnight. Eventually they were able to help her and got her back on her feet. Of course if it wasn't for Nationwide Pet Insurance I would have been able to pay my bill right away. my mixed terrier breed boy, Scout, has had several scrapes, first on a road trip where he got foxtail burrs caught in his throat in California and then a pitbull pack attack in the park back home in the city and two woodland mishaps since we moved to the country where he took serious gashes to his chest and belly and one hemorrhagic gastrointestinal attack that nearly wiped him out. ASPCA Pet insurance has handled each claim promptly and efficiently and always followed up with personal phone calls to check on him. They have been very supportive. I have never dealt with any other pet insurance carrier and never will--not even the carrier I have for all my cars and property. Wish my own health insurance carrier was as prompt and efficient and provided the same level of caring service.

I've had great coverage for my sweet dog. I do wish they had better options for when surgery is needed as that has not been covered. But overall I've been pleased with the amount of things that were paid for.
