The Worst!
I've had a policy since 2011, maybe longer. The company changes their adjusting policies on a whim. They pay one thing one claim and won't the next. Recently, I filed a claim where my dog was hospitalized for eating a toy. Not only has it taken almost a month for the claim to be processed, but there was a particular line item in the invoice that reads 'hosp/doggy day care". The charge was denied, not only by a novice adjuster, but per the conversation with Pets Best customer service agent, a manager had reviewed it. The invoice has $600 of legit charges associated with foreign body ingestion / constipation. The clinic charges the same for hospitalization as it does for doggy day care. Even though the line item clearly indicates that the charge may be associated with hospitalization, and the other supportive charges that were present on the invoice- the company denied the charge. Now I have to wait for a review, though it's almost been a month. This company is terrible. I would never recommend them. Save yourself a bunch of time and shop elsewhere!!!!

Getting too expensive for less coverage
My comments are not just for this claim but service for the last 8 yrs. Since I've had your insurance, the rates have continuously increased. I understand that but this last increase is $30 a month. Yet I don't get more coverage and you find more loopholes to keep from having to pay claims. I also believe the deductibles are per claim. My human insurance at least has a yearly deductible.

Great insurance!
We recently found out our Newfoundland, Chewbacca, has allergies, poor guy. He was getting infections from having such itchy skin. Anyway, our vet suggested zyrtec, that didn't work. So she suggested we try this new allergy drug just for dogs that cost a lot of money. We wouldn't have been able to afford it without the insurance. He is now healthy and happy with the new meds all thanks to Pet's Best!! Thank you!!

Thankful owner.. says thank you!
The process was so easy, what started as a horrible experience when a puppy was rushed to the vet, ended with a more than positive outcome. Booty Juice is once again healthy and happy and VPI made the entire process seamless. Thank you again!!

Great Service
Soon after I purchased insurance for my new puppy and three days after being spayed, I had to take her to the emergency vet because she was throwing up. They found that she had swallowed something that would not pass from her intestine into her colon and they had to operate immediately. Somehow, she had eaten all or part of an acorn. The cost of this second operation was around $2000. Pets Best very quickly paid their portion of both the spay and the second operation. Needless to say, this was very helpful to me at a stressful time.

Greatest/Fastest Claim payment EVER
My puppy got very sick and took her to the vet 3 times a week for 2 weeks. When I got the Vet bill of almost $2000 I remembered Trupanion. I asked the Vet to submit the bill for me on the Wednesday before Christmas, the faxed it over and on Friday morning I got an email with the claim information and the money was to be deposited into my account. I couldn't have been happier. Not only was my puppy going to make it, but it was Christmas. What a wonderful miracle and blessing.
