Always Pleased With The Service - Y'all Really Rock!!

My sweet sweet Bernie (the Pug) just turned four years old. He's been covered by Nationwide since he was about two months old. From the basics (immunizations, neutering, chipping, flea/tick/heartworm & allergy meds, etc) to a few not-so-basics (sprained foot, head wound, paw pad injury and probably a few other things that skip my mind at the moment), Nationwide has been there! Filing claims is SO easy and payment is always really fast (sign up for direct deposit and payments are even faster!). No matter who you speak with if you call, the reps all seem to genuinely care about Bernie. I can't tell you how many folks I've encouraged to get their fur babies insured through Nationwide....I'm probably one of the company's biggest fans. I'm pushing 60, always had pets and yet never before had insurance for any of them until Bernie came along. I think we all say "it's so expensive". Folks, NOT EXPENSIVE with Nationwide. In fact, overall, you will find that just the basics (mentioned above) more than pay for the premium. I remember a while back doing a review for Nationwide on FaceBook and actually added up what I had paid for premiums versus what they had paid in claims (for only the basics). I believe my comment was "how do they stay in business?" We've thankfully not experienced a major medical issue, but one look at their schedule for major medical coverage and I am confident they offer THE BEST coverage for THE BEST price. And the caring staff is the cherry on the cake. Me and Bernie are grateful! Thank you Nationwide for giving us peace of mind.

Nationwide is a great company for insuring pets.

Easy to process the claim on my dog Apollo. I received a check within 2-3 weeks for his illness. He feels a lot better and is a very happy dog. I really like Nationwide and I am happy that my husband and I chose Nationwide for our dog.

Useless/ Waste of money

Useless/ Waste of money. I have had this insurance for all 3 of my pets for a few years now. I bought it in college and have kept it in my early career because I cannot afford an expensive incident with any of my animals. My dog suffered a bite wound to the chest and I finally needed to use ASPCA. I have illness and injury coverage and this was clearly an injury. He required surgery and several follow up appointments, tube insertion and removal, staple insertion and removal, bandaging and bandage changing, and the total cost reached $1500. I felt comfort in providing my credit card each time as I followed each appt by going home and submitting each claim. I now checked my account to see that $515 of his care was considered covered. My deductible is $500, with a copy of 30%, meaning that I am expecting to receive $10 from ASPCA. The “covered” charges are suspiciously close to my deductible and I am genuinely curious what would have been approved if I had submitted each receipt separately. I am going to debate it and consult my lawyer friend. It is ridiculous, unreasonable, and I wish I would have just saved my monthly payments instead of paying into this insurance plan.

Look for reasons to not pay claims

Horrible....they look for reasons not to pay claims. Don't waste your time or money on Embrace. My dog has anxiety and is scared to go to the vet.....because of that Embrace feels like she is an aggressive dog and will not cover her. The vet even wrote a letter to Embrace explaining this, It is no different than a person having anxiety about going to the doctor or dentist. Does that make them an aggressive person? What a scam to get your money!

Great coverage, easy claim submission, pretty fast turn around.

I have a French Bulldog who has allergies, joint issues, and occasional ear infections. I chose Nationwide Pet Insurance because it is the only one that gave the option for major medical with wellness coverage included. I just submit the claim form and Vet’s invoice through email, and receive the reimbursement fairly quickly and it’s direct deposited. I’m very happy with Nationwide.

Pets Best is being proactive.

I think ya'll have amended your underwriting of claims in a positive way. In the past I felt PBI did not take all actors into account when reviewing claims. I appreciate the fact that PBI seems to be more proactive in including all factors now.

Mufasa and Emma(kitties) have had great experience with ASPCA insurers -efficient and caring

I appreciated the claims departments full explanation of M & E's coverage and made me feel as though they really take their jobs seriously. Each rep has been courteous and caring.
