Positive experience filing claims.

Mostly filing my claims has been a positive experience. Claims are easy to file, Pets Best is relatively quick about processing them and reviewing them. However, on one of my most recent claims, Pets Best said that nothing on my invoice was covered, although I know at least one thing should have been.

Horrible treatment and lack of customer service

I had pet insurance with Trupanion which was going quite well. Until year 2 when they decided to increase my deductible and I called to cancel. I was given some options of switching to a higher deductible to lower the monthly payment and asked the rep to email the options. I then called back and requested to go with one of the other plans. Now I after I saw two charges on my account for the lower payment and the original higher option I sent an email asking if the plan had been canceled. A member named Lucas then took it upon himself to cancel my entire plan. I called and emailed and explained that was not what I had asked for. He said there was no way to reverse it and I have been emailing/calling since March of 2018 to try to fix his problem. Mainly for him to be held accountable for doing that. If I didn't have the funds to take care of my pet he would have died because of Lucas. He is obviously not concerned about anything other than covering his self in the process. I also have been asking to speak with a manager and have just been passed around. Sitting on hold again waiting for someone to answer. Its the principle of what he did that is so frustrating and my pet that suffered bc of it.

Great Customer Service!

I am so pleased with my coverage for Heinrich. Excellent turn around time. And when I used the vetline I was provided with reassuring, calm emergency advice. I am VERY pleased with my coverage and I have recommended it to several friends.

Great service

I have had nothing but great service. They have helped me with concerns I have had from " Why didn't Trupanion pays for this... to... the premium is too high" with concern and graciousness to a successful conclusion. I am very happy with them especially when we had to have some serious surgery for our Lab.

Good coverage.

After a great amount of expense with my Aussie/Lab when he broke his leg and then later had it amputated I wish I had coverage for him. Now with Duke and Duchess I started coverage when I adopted them at age 2 (Duke) and 1 1/2 (Duchess (border collie). A number of treatments and medicines are covered under their policies which helps the expenses we have and knowing that if they are sick they will have come coverage. I do feel it is quite expense and certain things are not covered.

Claim Paid

Nationwide reviewed our claim (within a month - although it was closer to the 30 day mark) and paid it without any back and forth or question. Our 8 month old Golden Doodle swallowed a pair of underwear (without our knowledge) that proceeded to get stuck in his small intestine. when he vomited about 15 times within a 10 hour time span, we knew something was wrong. The vet required same day surgery and Nationwide saved the day be completely covering our claim (everything was paid for, even the cone and overnight stay with the exception of the special diet). Thank you!
