Overall the insurance coverage is good. I like that it pays for heartguard and nexgard supplies which many others do not. My only negative comment is the turnaround time, roughly three weeks from when they receive the claim to when you are notified about payment. I have used another insurance which their turnaround time was less than 2 weeks in most cases.

Thank you so much for covering Betty’s surgery! It literally saved her life, and you literally saved me from the brink of bankruptcy. With a new baby, related medical bills and recovery costs, and huge childcare expenses, I had no idea where the money for an emergency surgery would come from. I’ve insured both of my cats since I got them, because (from a previous cat) I knew that this kind of vet emergency needs protection. You don’t want to be in a position of deciding whether you can afford to save your pet’s life. I was sooooo relieved to know that she was covered, and surprised that the insurance covered everything after the deductible! I can never tell you what a difference this insurance made in my life this year. Betty is a happy healthy (still ornery) three year old kitty again. Thank you! <3

People joke about dogs being our best friends, but truly she is. She waits by the door every morning to go to work with me. The other dogs run to the kitchen for food, but not her she just patiently sits by the door waiting to go with me. I have no idea why. Im not ussually popular with some people, Ive never been a natural beauty, but to her, I'm her world. It breaks my heart and everything in me to watch her go through this. I know Ill never be the same without her....She has been probably the best part of my life. Thank you for everyday you have given me with her. I signed my animals up to cover things as they are getting older. I did not want to have to worry about how to pay for things and this was supposed to be hassle free. I am now finding out that unless I had signed them up as babies you will find a way to deny everything by finding ways to link them to so called pre existing conditions. I have had three claims denied on this basis. If Trupanion looks hard enough they can find a way to call just about anything a pre existing condition based on loose connections. If our personal insurance did this nothing would ever be covered. This is not a good way to do business. I have 6 pets signed up with Trupanion. I now have to decide if it is worth keeping them all insured since it is becoming apparent that Trupanion will not cover anything.

I appreciate the help Nationwide pet insurance provides in affording to take care of my much loved dog! I hate the idea of my dog hurting himself, but know that we can afford the best care because of this insurance.

He is doing much better after having part of his tail amputated, you could barely see a difference.
