Easy to use, classifies claims wrong
On the surface Pets Best seems like a great insurance to have. Submitting a claim is easy. They process them relatively quickly IF you provide the medical notes. They tend to classify EVERYTHING POSSIBLE as an allergy so they can classify as pre-existing. An ear infection that needs anti-yeast medication is clearly not a seasonal allergy. So you have to watch claims carefully and submit appeals which is a lot of extra work.

Exceptional Support and Care for My Cane Corso, Luca
I am extremely grateful for the support provided by ASPCA insurance for my 4-year-old male Cane Corso, Luca. Recently, Luca experienced bloody urine, which was a worrying and stressful situation for me. After consulting with Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital, I was able to focus on making the right decisions for Luca's care without the added burden of financial concerns.
The worst feeling in the world is knowing your dog is suffering and feeling helpless because of financial constraints. Thanks to ASPCA, I didn't have to choose alternative care plans due to cost. Instead, I was able to provide Luca with the best possible care he needed.
The customer service was outstanding, and the claims process was smooth and hassle-free. With the direct deposit reimbursements, the claim process has much improved, with payments being received in just a few days. This support allowed me to prioritize Luca's health and well-being during a challenging time. Thank you, ASPCA, for being there when we needed it the most.

Insurance Covered Major Dental Work
My elderly dog needed major dental surgery which was carefully and respectfully provided by my local vets. She was tested to see if she could handle anesthesia (she could) and surgery went well. When I submitted my claim, the insurance covered easily half of the costs which was deeply appreciated. Being a resilient mixed breed (poodle, schnauzer), she recovered quickly and is back to demanding attention, walks, treats and meals.

Healthy Paws has my vote
My dog has been constantly injured and or sick for years it seems and HealthyPaws has been a lifesaver. I wouldn’t be able to afford this dog without them. They will always work with you and their claims system is so easy to use. They have often reimbursed through Direct Deposit before vet payments have even cleared my account. 5/5 would receommend and use them for again!

Total scam
Rejected claims with no explanation other than 'terms of service' for over a period of 6 months, emergency services, and ultimately euthanasia. The final one it was all written off with deductibles.
You pay out of pocket for all services up front with the impression you can file a claim, and guess what.... wasn't worth the premiums and we canceled it for all our pets.

RUN FAR RUN FAST
Pets Best is horrible. When I bought the insurance I had no idea my dog was going to injure his cruciate. In the plan, it won't cover cruciate injuries for six months after purchasing the insurance. I understand that due to dogs blowing cruciates and people buying insurance to cover it. However, he DID blow the second one after the six-month waiting period, and Best Pets denied the claim stating it was a pre-existing condition. He had NOT blown EITHER cruciate at the time I purchased the insurance and thus, the condition was NOT pre-existing. He blew the first one five months into the plan. I could have waited and filed a claim after the six-month waiting period but it wouldn't have been fair to the dog. To make matters worse, they RAISED MY RATES without notification. They raised it by ten dollars. Some insurances would have covered both cruciates and if not the first, the last. The customer service got a 3 because they answered the phone and the person on the other end was pleasant. They got a 2 on the ease of filing a claim because my vet sent in my pet's records 3 times and Pets Best said they never received it. I had to go and upload all the records myself. It was frustrating. I should have done better research because others have had the same problem with raising the rates and filing claims. Others have experienced long, drug-out claims reimbursement. I will research other insurances for my new puppy and switch my other dog.

Good coverage and excellent service
I've had several claims with Healthy Paws for my older labrador. They've clearly explained his coverage and what documentation is required for care. The claims process is extremely easy and the response is fast. Healthy Paws has been very fair and open with covering my dog's surgery claims. I give them a whole hearted recommendation.

My Puppy broke his leg at 6mo and needed surgery, Metlife paid the full amount of coverage with no problem and I received the full amount in less than 10 days after filing the claim. They are always helpful and no long hold times when I call. 100% paid after a $250 deductible is an awesome plan! Thankyou!
