After paying for dental work. I researched pet insurance and decided to go with MetLife. I love them. If I have questions I can call and get answers. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I wish claims were processed a little faster but otherwise highly recommend them. I just recently picked another policy up for my cat.

MetLife will take up to a MONTH to process claims. And you can call in and try to get them to move faster; they will not. The service is not great. My advice is to go elsewhere.

My Chase got sick all of a sudden in the hospital for a week and a half. He was diagnosed with pancreatic tumor , home for a week and he could get up, we had to put him down. MetLife helped me get all the paperwork and even recommended grief counseling. I could not ask for better service

In a world that is changing, and not as dependable as in the past, not as trustworthy., it helps me to know there are those institutions, agencies, companies, etc that do not change. You are one of those providers that still care about your customers and our pets. I can count on when I have a claim you process it and get feed back back to me. Reimbursements are timely. I was directed by our regular vet to a 24hr vet hospital that had digital x-rays available to help diagnose cats trouble with breathing. Because I had insurance I feel we were able to not be worried about going for further testing due to any financial costs. It really felt like we could do the best for our pet, keeping the focus on her rather than worrying about the cost of her care. We ended up losing her due to lung cancer, but we had a clear diagnosis and made our decision to let her go without suffering.

I have full coverage on my cat which includes preventative. I have been disapppointed in the reimbursement. She has had teeth removed two times that were infected and they said this is pre existing condition. Therefore, only a portion of her bill was reimbursed. Out of $1200 for the last extraction done, I was only reimbursed $235. Since I have full coverage on my cat I don't understand how an infected tooth is pre existing. I really can't change insurance companies at this point because she is now 7 years old. I signed her up as a kitten so it would be more expensive if I changed.

They responded quickly and were very helpful in letting me know exactly what information was needed to complete my claim. A $250 deductible and then 80% of the bill is covered! We have had MetLife Pet insurance for 2 years now they have been extremely helpful and informative whenever I have any questions. Every person that assists me are extremely helpful and makes sure that I get my concerns addressed and completed. I plan to stay with them as long as we have our dog.
