Calmed my nerves

Need to review better
I am thankful for Pet insurance but one has to be very vigilant when it comes to the results of your claim and how it is reviewed. How I place a claim for a roken bone that had surgery with pin and wire inserted comes back as a primary diagnosis being a splint! is beyond me....
I had to resend a request for further review and am awaiting the proper diagnosis and more claim money for such an expensive surgery.
Generally , Nationwide pet insurance is fair but be observant and know what should be covered and amounts. read the contract....

Better than human insurance!
Easy to submit claims - prompt reimbursement. Customer for over 10 years. Can’t imagine having a beloved pet as a family member without this coverage.

Significant annual increases in monthly premium
Significant annual increases in monthly premium, far-reaching excuses for denial of coverage on certain things, and extensive waiting periods of claim reviews makes it unlikely I will recommend trupanion to anyone.

detailed explanations when I considered policy options
My questions about which policy and add-on options to select were answered thoroughly over the phone by someone who could cite examples of hypothetical cases I could encounter. My pet is just a puppy, so I am keen to take advantage of a lower price on insurance before he turns 1 year old or presents conditions that might not be covered later.
