Excellent insurance
My younger dog has been embraced since I got him as a puppy -- about a year and a half now. While they went through a period where it took them up to 3 weeks to process a claim, they're back to processing them in under a week. With my dog electrocuting himself and his allergies, I've sent in a lot of claims. I've never had one questionned or denied. And their wellness coverage is great. I only wish I'd discovered Embrace sooner so I could have gotten my 10-year-old dog covered as well.

10/10 Incredible - Best Service + Simple Claims
My 6-yr old female Weimeraner has been insured with Healthy Paws for almost 2 years now. I am blown away by the professionalism, competency, quality and speed of reimbursement of this company. (If only my human health insurance were of this caliber!) The most recent cause for me to use my insurance - Bella started the have difficulty getting up from a seated or lying down position; as if her knees or hips were hurting. Initially I took her to my regular Vet. He took a zillion xrays and tapped the knee joint to test the fluid for inflammation. His diagnosis was cruciate ligament problems, bilaterally (means both knees) and recommended surgery at a cost of $6,000 (just the surgery fee - additional fees for all the ancillary charges. I didn't feel comfortable with this...so I decided just like in human cases, a second opinion would be a good idea. I contacted Healthy Paws, and sure enough - not only did they say my policy covers the cost of a second opinion, they encouraged me to pursue it for Bella's sake. The specialist I took Bella to see is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon. He is not convinced at this stage by merely looking at several x-rays of the diagnosis that the first Veterinarian arrived at. He explained in detail, which I skip here) that further tests were required to figure what was really going on. So Monday of next week, we are off to North Carolina to the University to have an MRI performed on both her knees (and of the hips are suspect, both hips). Again, He

lifesaver
I bought this insurance in Sept. My cat has been bitten by an unknown animal in his yard, gotten sick with the only sympton vomiting and at least one other visit to the vet, I forget what for. The claims were all accepted and paid in a timely manner. Questions I had were answered to my satisfaction. You never know when a pet will need extensive and expensive care, which is more likely they will, and this insurance can really pay off.

Wellness Claim #2
As easy and fast as the first one. I had my vet fax everything in and within days the money was deposited back in my account. The nice thing is that Embrace always follows up to make sure you received your deposit. My experience since October has been great!!

Happy to have coverage
After an expensive illness with a beloved pet, I decided to try Embrace insurance. My first claims were for wellness exams, and I received my checks quite quickly after the company received my paperwork. The most difficult part was the health history for my older dog, and a lot of that was a delay from my vet's office. I filed my first claim, which was incomplete, but Embrace contacted my vet and got the missing paperwork. I was issued a check within two weeks. I have been very happy with the communication from the company and their response time.

Trupanion was there when we needed them
We paid only for Vet Exams. All covered costs were paid promtly. Our total Vet bills were close to $6,000 and we were reimbursed for over 83% of our total claims; all within one week of the claim. It was reassuring to know we wouldn't have to borrow money before bills became due for Emergncy Care and Surgery.
We considered this "catestrophic" insurance when we bought it; never thinking we would need it. Fortunately we had the insurance when our dog needed it -- Trupanion was there for us every step of the way. They made our ordeal bearable during a very stressful time.
As a result of our experience, we have recommended Trupanion to all of our pet-loving friends.

Easy and worth it
My greyhound ran into a pole and tore open his knee. I had gotten insurance for the "just in case" of this very situation. I live in an area that's more expensive than "customary," so the original friend who recommended that I get pet insurance warned me that it would reimburse about half of vet charges in the area.
The process to get reimbursed was easier than it is with my human healthcare FSA! I received my check about 2 weeks after I submitted the claim. The grand total at the vet was $480, and I ended up with a check for $240-- just what I expected, and still a financial relief.
