Easy Process and Great Return!
I just submitted my first claim since purchasing the insurance about a year ago. I printed the claim form, filled it out, dropped it to my vet to complete, and mailed it in with a copy of the vet bill. They contacted me via email when they received the claim and let me know that they were beginning the process. I received regular emails updating me and explaining what was going on. They needed more information from my vet, and let me know that they had submitted the request and that I didn't need to do anything further. Then a check showed up in the mail for 90% of the eligible services. I have 3 senior cats - 10,11, and 12...It seemed like every time I had to go to the vet with one of them, it was a $300 or $400 bill. Always necessary things, but it adds up fast with 3. I'm thankful Trupanion was willing to accept senior pets, because now I know that as they age, and more age related issues or diseases arise, I can continue to do everything in my power to keep my babies healthy and comfortable!

Great pet insurance
So glad I choose Embrace Pet Insurance. Claim forms were very easy to complete.
I received great communication by email after claims were received.
Very quick processing and issuing of reimbursements.
Follow up emails from Embrace to make sure I received my checks.
Wish my own health care insurance was this efficient.

Wonderful Pet Insurance Company!
There are many scam pet insurance companies that gladly take your premium but will find any way possible to avoid paying claims. So when I decided to look into the possibility of getting pet insurance, I was very careful and I did quite a bit of research. In my research, it was Embrace that consistently came up with the best reviews both by policyholders but also by independent reviewers. I also really liked the variety of plans and that they pay claims based on the cost of the vet bill instead of "reasonable and customary" charges. I took the leap and decided to try Embrace. I have loved them from the start. They are always nice and friendly. Then my cat developed a blockage and when I needed Embrace most, they were there for me on the phone. I even called after hours while rushing my cat to the vet and they answered and helped me even though it was time for that particular person to go home. Unfortunately I didn't get her name but she was wonderful and assured me that Embrace would be there for me.
After all the medical bills, I waited a bit worried wondering if Embrace would be like so many typical pet insurance companies and try to get out of the claim. Embrace stayed in touch with me while the claim was being reviewed to let me know that they were looking at it - even though they had not reached their estimated turn-around time, they still stayed in touch with me (without me prompting) to make sure that I knew they were working on it. Today I received my EOB

Excellent medical coverage
I have 3 policies for my three dogs and have had them for 4+ years (depending on when I rescued each dog). My older dog developed Cushing's Disease about 8 months ago and the medical bills have been very high. ASPCA pet insurance has reimbursed me as promised and it has helped me so much to care for Missy. I never have to compromise my decisions regarding her care because of money. I am confident that 80% of allowable charges will be reimbursed (after the deductible)and that helps so much. My second dog has had some joint issues, a UTI and a skin infection. Again, what was promised in the policy (Level 2) was reimbursed. I have not had to use my policy yet for my newest rescue, but I am sure I will at some point in time. I would NEVER be without this insurance.

Best Pet Insurance Ever!
I have a German Shepherd who was diagnosed with an ear hematoma, which needed to be surgically repaired. I didn't hesitate one minute getting the surgery because I knew Trupanion had my back! , I'm so impressed with the whole claims process. It took about 4 days to process 2 claims. Trupanion kept me informed through every step of the claims process.

HORRIBLE
I am not one to complain online about things. As a matter of fact, I do not think I have ever written a review about a business before, pleased or un-pleased. We enrolled our Italian Greyhound puppy in TruPanion, due to the fact that IG's are famous for breaking legs and we were worried with our puppy being as silly and as fast as he is, he may end up breaking a leg, which as you know, can cost thousands of dollars to repair. In October, our puppy ate some plastic from our window blinds which caused him some diarrhea and vomiting. We took him to the vet were they ran some tests and blood work. All came back negative for any type of bacteria or infection. He passed the plastic the next day and was fine. The vet concluded it was caused by the plastic and no further tests needed to be conducted. In December, our puppy became extremely ill. He had some type of bacterial infection (probably picked up from Petsmart because they are FILTHY, but that is whole other issue). Long story short, the tests, medicine, and care ended up costing almost $1400. We submitted a claim for reimbursment to TruPanion and it was denied becuase they said the December incident was a pre-existing condition, which is absolutely ridiculous. How is eating plastic and having a bacterial infection the same thing? We had our vet write TWO letters to them explaining how one was caused by the injestion of the plastic and one by a bacteria. They denied the claim again coming back and saying this time
