Quick and extremely efficient . If only human insu

The great response and care with which our claim was processed is almost unbelievable. Three cheers for a company that seems know how to take care of its customers.

Buyer beware on "pre-existing" pet health issues

We have had three cats covered by the ASPCA Pet Insurance plan since 2008. In general the plan has provided the type of insurance support advertised. Most years we had no claims or claims less than the cost of purchasing the insurance. However in 2013 we have had a major challenge with the insurance plan. We submitted an insurance claim for a $2,500 procedure and it was denied because we had crossed 11 days into a new coverage year and because the pet’s illness had begun earlier it was now considered a “pre-existing condition”. After discussing on the phone with the ASPCA Pet Insurance claims individual and the supervisor, who were professional in their interactions, their answer was still to deny the claim. Even though we have been continuously covered for 5 years for all three cats and had not submitted any claims for the earlier veterinary assessments and felt that there was a change in diagnosis prompting the major assessment, it was considered “pre-existing”. In fact, no matter what the diagnosis or how slow the progression of a disease if the ASPCA can prove that at any time (even a day) earlier in the previous covered year there was any indication of illness then its “pre-existing” and not covered. Anyone signing up for ASPCA Pet Insurance should be fully aware that if their pet becomes ill at any point in a covered year and they do not fully resolve the illness in that year they will not be covered when the new policy year begins, no matter the reasoning. Overcharge

One of my two insured dogs had a cancerous lump removed from his leg. When I recieved the report of my claim for this illness, Trupanion broke it up into several different incidents and instead of paying the $250.00 deductable, I actually was charged, inaggregate of $288.00, all for the same illness.

Fabulous

Jackson began coughing violently and gagging then swallowing rapidly. We took him to the emergency vet in Richmond and he sedated him to look down his throat to see if there was a blockage. There was no blockage but his right tonsil was inflamed. They xrayed him to see if he had swallowed something ,but that was all clear. The thought was that he had an allergic reaction to an unknown substance. Could have been a spot cleaner used to clean a carpet spot that afternoon. We were very lucky and he has been fine since. I submitted the claim to ASPCA insurance by mail and I think it was only a couple of weeks that I received a check that covered most of the Vet bill. We were so thrilled and pleased with the way we were treated. I just received a call from a woman with ASPCA insurance checking to see if we needed anything or if she could answer any questions re: the insurance. She was just so nice and it was like talking to a family member. Cant say enough nice things about the pet insurance we have for Jackson. Thank you to everyone.

Easy Process and Great Return!

I just submitted my first claim since purchasing the insurance about a year ago. I printed the claim form, filled it out, dropped it to my vet to complete, and mailed it in with a copy of the vet bill. They contacted me via email when they received the claim and let me know that they were beginning the process. I received regular emails updating me and explaining what was going on. They needed more information from my vet, and let me know that they had submitted the request and that I didn't need to do anything further. Then a check showed up in the mail for 90% of the eligible services. I have 3 senior cats - 10,11, and 12...It seemed like every time I had to go to the vet with one of them, it was a $300 or $400 bill. Always necessary things, but it adds up fast with 3. I'm thankful Trupanion was willing to accept senior pets, because now I know that as they age, and more age related issues or diseases arise, I can continue to do everything in my power to keep my babies healthy and comfortable!

Great pet insurance

So glad I choose Embrace Pet Insurance. Claim forms were very easy to complete. I received great communication by email after claims were received. Very quick processing and issuing of reimbursements. Follow up emails from Embrace to make sure I received my checks. Wish my own health care insurance was this efficient.

Wonderful Pet Insurance Company!

There are many scam pet insurance companies that gladly take your premium but will find any way possible to avoid paying claims. So when I decided to look into the possibility of getting pet insurance, I was very careful and I did quite a bit of research. In my research, it was Embrace that consistently came up with the best reviews both by policyholders but also by independent reviewers. I also really liked the variety of plans and that they pay claims based on the cost of the vet bill instead of "reasonable and customary" charges. I took the leap and decided to try Embrace. I have loved them from the start. They are always nice and friendly. Then my cat developed a blockage and when I needed Embrace most, they were there for me on the phone. I even called after hours while rushing my cat to the vet and they answered and helped me even though it was time for that particular person to go home. Unfortunately I didn't get her name but she was wonderful and assured me that Embrace would be there for me. After all the medical bills, I waited a bit worried wondering if Embrace would be like so many typical pet insurance companies and try to get out of the claim. Embrace stayed in touch with me while the claim was being reviewed to let me know that they were looking at it - even though they had not reached their estimated turn-around time, they still stayed in touch with me (without me prompting) to make sure that I knew they were working on it. Today I received my EOB
