Thank God we have this policy

We have a 3 year old Labrador that has had to have back to back surgeries due to multiple injuries. Thanks to Nationwide we are able to get the care for him he needs.

Romeo is doing well

Hi, Romeo had his toe removed mid Dec and the healing process took some time. We had to go back and forth to the vet so many times during all of that. I was very happy to have VPI insurace to help reimburse the cost...It was a very stressful time because we love our doggie so much...

I wish all insurance was this easy

We have used the Nationwide insurance for 8 years now. It has paid for itself more than once. Since the adding of submitting claims with the Vitus Vet app it is even easier to use then it was before. I recommend getting pet insurance to all of my friends!

has not brought me any benefit yet

I would do anything for my pets, after one experience coming across a lady that has pet insurance and said how much it helped her, it made me want to get it for my pets as well. It has been MONTHS and I am still going back and fourth with these people, I pay for the premium insurance and it still has not covered anything. I always have to call to try to see where things are and get things going forward and it doesn't. Nor do I have time for that. So far I'm wondering why am I even giving myself the headache of having this insurance and just pay out of pocket for everything instead.

Prices will continue to hike!

Officially cancelling our policy after being with healthy paws for 5 years. They have continued to raise prices. In a few years I’ll be paying 100 a month for my dogs insurance (more than I pay for my own). They are increasing our policy by 9 dollars a month which will be $62.52. I’m beyond upset about this as I’ve already paid so much over the course of my dogs life and have only ever benefited off it once. With a monthly fee like that and a $250 dollar deductible I just don’t see it ever being worth it. There are also no discounts for teeth cleaning or office visits. The least this company could do is provide their loyal customer with incentive to stay instead of continually raising prices by this much. Fed up with it. Put the money you spend on insurance into a savings account so if your dog has an emergency you have the money to pay for it.

So helpful

Bulldogs have all kinds of unexpected health obstacles. Whether it be skin infections, allergies, or their simple lack of paying attention and walking into things or tripping- causes us to be at the vet more often than we would like. I wouldn't trade a bulldog for anything - so I'm happy to have the support of Nationwide when my bully lives up to it's stereotype! Thank you!

Good but payment processing could be better.

Good company but payment processing is slow. 30 days is just too long when large vet Bill's need reimbursement. Otherwise, great customer service. Thank you.

Confused by policy and payments

I’m at confused by the entire process and reimbursement process. I also have yet to see a chart /data explaining to me why I should renew. Will probably not renew.
