So glad I bought this pet insurance!

I’m so glad that I bought this coverage for my fur baby, Porter. Frenchies come with all sorts of potential breed-specific medical problems, and without this pet insurance, I might not be able to pay for the health care and emergency care my little one might need. Usually, I’m sent the reimbursement on my claims in 2-4 weeks. The whole claims process is easy too. Best coverage for the price and well worth it.

Not 30 days of free trial-very misleading-no communication on rejected claim.

Thought we had pet insurance based on AKC registration website information. Had a claim for ER Vet the day after registering for the trial offer. Waited two weeks with no call or emails on claim status. Finally went online to do Live Chat (is not active). Called and waited for a representative for almost 7 minutes to find out we were not covered for the claim. They have a declaration of a 5 day waiting period and our claim was on day 2. They should advertise 25 days of pet insurance, not 30. This was an ER visit for eating raw chicken wings, I was not signing up because we had a sick dog and were working the system. This makes AKC look bad in my opinion. Very misleading.

Peace of mind

I can't imagine not having the Peace of Mind of Nationwide pet insurance. The customer service is incredible. The only downside is turnaround time on claims. However usually within 30 days I have check in hand. I think anybody that has pets should carry pet insurance and Nationwide in my opinion is the best.

Routine claims take too long to turn around

First I just want to say that I have been very happy with Trupanion. Having said that there is one area where I think improvement could be made. I file a claim every month for arthritis medications for my dog and I have been for over a year. It is always the same three products from the same sources although sometimes the prices change. It currently is taking about a week for these claims to get processed and the funds to be deposited in my account. It would be nice if that could be reduced, I understand first time claims and large complicated medical procedure claims taking longer but it seems these routine claims could be handled better and faster.

Awesome care for my pets AND myself!

I have been with VPI/Nationwide for a very long time. I have always been extremely pleased with the service that I have received. I love the birthday cards and now asking me about how Dickens is doing!

Helpful to know my pet is covered for whatever she needs

I'm very happy so far with Nationwide - from the wellness coverage to potential emergencies. Nationwide has been very responsive and paid claims just as promised. I'm paying a lot each month for the coverage, but on the other hand, it's there if I should ever need it. When I have had claims to process, Nationwide is always responsive and paying what they promised. I love the fact that they send the funds to my bank and not a check. That really helps alot. I would like to see them receive claims by email much easier. It woudl be best for me to scan and email my claims. I have recommended Nationwide to several friends - all in Texas - so couldn't receive a gift for referring but it's OK - as I want all pets to have good coverage.
